I found that my local store is owned and run by Aramark. The co-opt is off the buss line and I don't have a garden. I'm still trying to find somewhere else to eat from. How do you deal with finding a cheap ethical place to get food from?

I like to go to fancy resteraunts with uptown classy ladies.... though when I'm not doing that I'm shovelling greasy burger after greasy burger down at the local burger bar.

I kind of like the independant resteraunts though.

The Cupboard. Or, less specifically, from a local grocery store. Or, Even less specifically, anywhere that sells food. I'm not all that picky about where the food comes from if I can eat it and it doesn't taste like crap.

Sorry, I'm a university student.
I don't have enough money to afford that kind of ethics.
Usually, I buy stuff from the local discounter.

Anywhere, as long as the food isn't spoiled or bad.

Meh. What kind of "ethical" problems can you have? Morals are a joke.
and what morals are we talking about? I'm sorry if I have missed it entirely, but what is so bad about eating from Aramark? I have never heard of it.

Ethical? Explain.
Aramark is a big evil chain. They're known for selling bad food to schools and bad, occasionally spoiled food to the US military. Basically they're war profiteers and I don't want to give them any more money.

oh. ok. If the food is bad, don't eat there. But if the bad food is going to someone else, I don't give a sh*t.

See if you can find a Japan/Anime fan and ask him if you can buy ramen from him.

It's amazing, everyt thursday food just appears in there.
Hahaha, right on the money! As a college student living with my parents, this is pretty much how I end up foraging for food as well.

I go to sams/costco. Sure you have to buy 600 lbs of whatever food you're buying but it evens out a lot cheaper for what you get

Unfortunately, Sam's club is owned by the same people as Wal-Mart and there isn't any Costco or similar thing where I live.

Except (s)he would get ramen from the same places I'm trying to boycott.

I was ninja'd.
Your the second person with an avatar of that character, may I ask what it is?
WHAT? WHAT DID YOU SAY?!?

No really, could you tell me who also has this avatar? Are you sure it's the same one? To answer your question, the character is Travis Bickle played by Robert DeNiro in the 1976 Martin Scorsese film "Taxi Driver".

If I see him I'll give you a PM.
