Where's the Escapist Film Festival?

We're seven days into November now and it's occured to me that the Escapist film festival, in previous years, has usually taken place in September and October. Now I'm well aware that I could just be getting impatient, but I am starting to wonder if the Extra Credits debacle or something similar has caused the Escapist crew to decide to go without holding a film festival, if only for this year. It'd be an awful shame if that's the case, as my friends and I finally have the free time to shoot a pilot this year.

I just want to know: does anyone know if the Escapist is holding a film festival this year? And if so, does anyone know when it shall be held?

I'd wondered this myself actually but like alot of stuff i doubt we'll get an official response, Or it'll be heavily played down if it does have anything to do with EC or the like.

As for you shooting a pilot, there's nothing stopping you from doing it anyway.
You could always send it in and see how it goes.

If they aren't doing it, then it'd be nice if they announced that they aren't. They don't need to give a reason. Sure, people would speculate it has something to do with EC, but evidently, we already are.

If I had money riding on a bet I'd go with what you initially suggested in that the Escapist is just pulling a 'Cinemax'. They got a bad rap and now they're stopping for the moment to let things die down and blow over before starting back up again.
