Heres and idea, a thread dedicated to those times when you have a hit of nostalgia and you remember a program you loved as a kid but cannot remember the name.

Now this may sound a stupid and long shot idea, but bare with me. Heres mine.

The only scene I can remember is there are a couple of main characters and I think they were trapped in a forest and they had a choice of doors which I think were in trees. I think a boy chose one door, they went inside and it went down, the walls resembling something from the BFG film when the girl sees all the BFGs dreams in bottles, all the colours etc and they find a black cat and I think the cat offers the way out if the boy fusses him behind his ear. Thats all I can remember and I don't know if it was a tv series or a film. I think the credits rolled shortly after this scene, so it may have been a tv series, may have been. Anyone have the faintest idea from my very very general description? Extra help: i live in the UK, i was a kid from birth 1991 to lets say 10 in 2001. It was definitely in the mid to late 90s. Hope that time frame helps ;)

So, help each other out figuring out those old nostalgic gems. Can really be about anything, games, films, whatever. Just have fun with that lovely friend nostalgia!

EDIT: forgot to mention. The series i described was ANIMATED. sorry for you guys who gave me ideas.

Grief...it's so close to the idea of Alice in Wonderland, that it's gonna be really tough to get close.

Early 90's UK does sound like Knightmare though. Though it could have been part of Words and Pictures, Eerie Indiana, Round the Bend, The Adventures of Pete and Pete or a number of other programmes of that ilk.

I was planning on making one like this, fantastic. I have two

The first is an anime I used to like I remember very little of it except for the main female character. Her name was Elle however the reason she is called such is because when she awoke with no memories in the desert after the research centre she was in blew up, she looked at her arm and read the letters E L L E when infact the characters should be read the other way round to say 3 7 7 3 because she was experiment number 3773. She also has some god-like powers due to these experiments.

The other is a power rangers like show with a single ranger. He had two partners, a ladybug that turned into a car and a praying mantis (I think) that turned into a motorbike.

Sorry OP cant help you, but I need help remembering this manga that I read back in middle school.

Alright so basically this manga came out in the states back in 2002, it was about this 12 year old girl who wanted to be a teenager already. One day she was eating some peanuts and found a pink peanut among them and ate it for the hell of it. Next morning she now had a body of an 18 year old.

It was an interesting manga, since it dealt with how people treat you differently when your older.

Anyone know the name of it?

I can't find the name to this show grrrrrrr
I think i watched it when i was around 7 or 8 (2001-2006) it was on in the middle of the day
I remember one episode, the main character was some sort of hunter (clothing of animal skins) and he lived in the jungle.
In this episode he falls in-love with a woman, but it turns out this woman is binded to the evil man the main character is fighting. The main character finds out that if he hurts the evil man or kills him the same will have to the woman he loves. While the evil man and the main character are fighting the woman stabs her-self to save the main character.

I also think there was a bracelet involved but i'm not sure
Please help! anything information is valuable

That sounds like Masked Rider.

I personally never watched it, but I knew Saban adapted one of the Kamen Rider series from Japan into a series. One "Ranger" plus insects definitely sounds like Kamen Rider, so I did some looking. According to Wikipedia, the show had an ant-like bug named Mango and a talking motorbike modelled after a grasshopper. So I think that's your show.

Mine's not an anime, but it was a cartoon that aired on Fox Kids back in the day. I want to say it was called Captain Jack, but I could just be mixing it up with Pirates and Captain Jack Sparrow.

Anyway, the show was about a goofball pirate who was always dressed in a red outfit--like Captain Hook's. He was always making mistakes and just getting by on luck. The only episode I remember is when Death came for him. Death was a black man in a nice business suit, and the pirate spent the whole episode trying to weasel out of dying. Finally, he hands Death some berries, or nuts, or something to eat, and Death eats them. The pirate laughs and says that Death is now going to die.

"Me, die? I am DEATH!" He pulls out his push-pen and clicks it. It turns into the classic scythe and he raises above his head while he walks forward in anger. "DEATH cannot be killed, you--" He stops cold and falls over dead. I laughed so hard at that, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of the show. Ideas?
