My favourite fictional character, is my namesake, Raphael, because he is a cynical, angry badass, who feels like no one understands him and is angry because he and his brothers are outcasts, who have to hide from Humans, are not able to reproduce and are the only ones of their kind.

It's a tough call, but I suppose at the end of the day there's only one possible answer for me...

That's quite a tough one, because I do like a lot of fictional characters. However, if I was asked to name one...there's really only one choice. Maybe not a popular one around here, but screw it, I'm standing by my man.

I'm sure I can come up with a nerdier suggestions. Right now, Bugs Bunny was a big influence on me. Hawkeye Pierce from MASH is a close second. He was a wiseass with a conscience.

Kinda this althought my reason is that he's a good leader and aswell a friend to the humans!

Other than him, there's
Toph (little blind girl kick MAJOR ass!)
Fluttershy (so kind)
HK-47 (The lovable killing mache)
Travis Touchdown (I found him to be so relatable.)

I don't know if I can narrow it down to an all-time favorite, but I can tell you who currently tops the list; Pearl from Steven Universe.

She's kind, good-natured, has a great voice thanks to the talented work of Deedee Magno and is a badass to boot. She's also neurotic, fussy, a clean freak and has some deep-seated relationship issues she's still grappling with (feelings I can relate to on some level, having once pined for someone who ended up choosing another).
In short, despite being a lesbian space rock (qualities I do not share), Pearl is one of the most relatable, multifaceted and human characters I've run across in a long time.

John Marston. He's a man trying to put to bed the demons of his past, so he can have a future for his wife and son. A former criminal trying to turn around and live a life of honour and quiet dignity, but there are people trying to use his past to hold him back. While he may be a man out of time, and sees the world advancing faster than he can keep up, he knows that the basic principals of greed, power and self-interest still are the driving forces behind everything.

Short version - he's very relateable.

Captain Samuel Vimes from the Discworld universe.

The idea of someone being a complete bastard in almost every respect, his dirty fighting technique totally "unfitting" of a police officer but also fitting considering the city he works in, right to his street knowledge worthy of a master criminal, his only true redeeming factor is that he is as straight-forward as humanly possible. His almost pious belief in justice and The Law is admirable, and while it is debatable as to whether he is honest or not, he still gets his job done, and he makes sure that there are absolutely no loose ends to a case, no matter the cost. He is a simple man, and that's why he is so effective. Also, his complete disdain for politics and royalty is probably the best part about him.

Favourite character in any piece of media I have ever seen by far, though Artemis Fowl is a close second because he used to be a relatable character for me when I was younger.

If I were to choose one, it would be Uhtred of Bebbenburg from the Warlord Series.

However, I've also enjoyed reading about the antics Darien Frey (Ketty Jay novels regarding the adventures of steampunk airship pirates) Harry Flashman and Captain Haddock. On film and TV, I like loads of characters from Game of Thrones- especially Tyrion and Jamie Lannister (only after series 3)and Littlefinger. There's also Rock and Revy from the Black Lagoon anime, and also Rick from Rick and Morty.

Having wrote out this list, I've realised I tend to like reading about morally grey characters with flawed personalities. I guess this is why actors say they have the most fun playing as the villain.

- Tony Soprano from The Sopranos.
- Joel from The Last of Us.
- Peter Venkman from Ghostbusters.
- Slit from Mad Max: Fury Road.
- Syndrome from The Incredibles.
- Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion.
- Quint from Jaws.
- Marge Gunderson from Fargo.
- B.J. Blazkowitz from Wolfenstein: The New Order.
- Yennifer from The Witcher 3.
- Ciri from The Witcher 3.
- Mei from My Neighbor Totoro.
- Gromit from Wallace and Gromit.
- Ash from Fantastic Mr. Fox.
- Watchdog Man from One Punch Man.
- The genie from Aladin.
- Jubei from Ninja Scroll.
- Kintaro from Golden Boy.
- Yukari from Azumanga Daioh.
- Yotsuba from Yotsubato.
- Medli from Wind Waker.
- Marty McFly from Back to the Future.
- Akeem from Coming to America.
- Royal Tenenbaum from The Royal Tenenbaums.
- Max Fisher from Rushmore.
- General Turgidson from Dr. Strangelove.

I could go on, but you get the idea. I like a lot of characters.

Lord Yato from Noragami is the first in my mind.

He's everything I want and have tried to be, but don't have the charisma or confidence to be. Plus, you know...he's a God of Calamity/War.

He's confident, if a bit snobby, sarcastic, and rarely has shame. He also has the ability to be quite the capable leader.

However despite all his zealous qualities, he's quite flawed.

And there are people who think he's annoying. And I'm okay with that, because if I had the confidence, I wouldn't care.

I simply do not have one, I have several, and I alternate... mainly though? my own characters are usually more absorbing to me. Nonetheless, a small list of television and film stand-outs:

Porn Stache from Orange is the New Black was hilarious, a rotten douchebag... and still had enough human qualities to make me like watching him.

Bill the Butcher from Gangs of New York. Daniel Day Lewis as an irredeemable, murderous cad and the kind of racist that the Alt Right should be setting up as a martyr to the whole movement and worshiping right about now, and yet still, super-entertaining.

Douglas Reynholm from The IT Crowd . Absolutely hilarious, in a cast that is already super stellar.

All of the cast of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

Any part that either Richard Ayoade or Noel Fielding play.

Ray from Archer. Just always have a good time catching his wit and dialogue, great field agent, and often plays the straight man to Archer's zany foibles.

Grig from The Last Star Fighter. Gung-ho iguana. Brilliant.

Bojack Horseman. I still sometimes sit in awe of an animated series that can be, at times, waay more poignant and deeper than live acted dramas.

...

I guess I like Gonzo the best, in the end.

... and the Dude, of course. And Petyr from What We Do in The Shadows. And Lestat. Gmork, servant of the Nothing.

Jesus is pretty cool in his books, if a bit OP.

Autochthon from Exalted springs to mind quickly. He's the Deathstar (actually several times larger, but still, giant metal pseduo-sphere with planet busting power) with the personality of McGuiver and a bad case of ADHD. Invented the concept of invention and, as primordial super-entities go, is pretty on humanity's side.

Granted, he's as much a setting as a person, but still, I like him a lot.

Ever watch Big Fat Quiz?
Only all the time, and they usually kill it. Even the one with Mel B - and I don't personally dislike her or anything, but she's not all that funny - but Richard? amazing.

Zaphod Beeblebrox (The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy)

This guy is pretty much most everything I wish I was. Fearless. Hedonistic. Charismatic. Confident to the point of transcendence.

Okay in no particular order and in no way a complete list:

She's a little exhausting at times, but damn if she isn't cute and sweet and utterly focused on the job at hand. And the awkwardness. Yeah...that does it...

Sue me, he's a badass. Little slow on the uptake with psykers, but I'm a big fan of emotional and physical resilience. Plus I have a 25k Death Guard 30k Army

She talks a big prim proper game, but when she needs to be she's a strong, resilient and clever Pony who really isn't afraid of anything. As someone who's watched the show since like episode 11, I can say for certain Rarity is the second strongest of the Mane6 after Twilight, and even then she matches Twilight in work ethic, courage, determination, resilience. She's just not as magically powerful.

Come on, admit it. He's better than Kirk.
