I'm gonna go with Garrett, from the Thief series.

Sure, he's a thief, and a cynical, opportunistic bastard to boot. But he's smart, clever (except when it comes to having his ego stroked), stealthy, and has a code of honor- no killing other humans, and preferably stealing from the rich (in a world where the rich have enormous power over the poor). While all the power-armor-wearing, gun-toting badasses have to use the front door and make a mess just to get anywhere, Garrett can rob a place blind without anyone ever noticing a thing.
