If I know the voice of the text's author, I read it in that. If it's a character's dialogue, the voice I imagine they have. If it's a piece of fiction, I prefer visualization over recitation, though I do read aloud the occasional phrase I particularly like. As for plans, I usually hear my voice. Generally because I'm muttering to myself, since I plan better when I talk through the thought process.

I like to create voices in my head either using completely original vocals or taking inspiration from real people.

Though if I could, everyone would sound like Patrick Stewart.

It's usually myself, but when things call for something more dramatic, I start hearing Michael Bell as Raziel from the Legacy of Kain / Soul Reaver-series. In my mind there has not been a better in-game narrator since those games.

When I'm reading I narrate the book myself in my mind.

If my life was made into a story, my narrator would be Gordon Freeman.

Mine mostly, but I tend to take the last voice I've heard.

So if I'm watching Mythbusters, then read a book, I hear the guy's voice narrating in my head XD
