Today I was thinking about how awesome the Jurassic Park series was (mostly the first one) and I was curious who everyone's favorite character/dinosaur was? for me it has to be Dr. Ian Malcolm... Jeff Goldblum FTW.

Roland Tembo. Pete Poselthwaite is just awesome. Everyone else is getting slaughtered and he's all "fuck it I want to hunt my T-rex now!"

As for Dinosaurs, I always loved the Dilophosaurus. That hissing/screeching sound they make and they just look so cute. In Operation Genesis I had a few pens full of them.

Dr. Grant. Remember how he owned that kid with his "how raptors are going to kill you" speech.

lol I hafta go with the T-Rex! How could I not acknowledge the greatest monster roar in movie history?
This vid shows what this guy thinks the three best t-rex roars are. Jurasic Park Trumps them all ^^

Must concur, love Pete Postlethwaite in TV/Movies but could do without that bloody cheese advert. Love the bit where he is trying to pronounce dinosaur names and essential kinda goes "ahh sod it" and tosses the book over his shoulder.

Ian Malcolm gets the best lines debating with Hammond in the first film over dinner. I prefer that scene to all the SFX together.

I'll agree with those that said the raptors. They made the movies for me. :)

Good point. It was a shame they did not have the scene from the book when he starts shooting at the T-Rex with a rockit launcher!

But I would have to vote for Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern).

Ian Malcolm: God creates dinosaurs, god destroys dinosaurs. God creates man, man destroys god, man creates dinosaurs.

Ellie Sattler: Dinosaurs eat man and woman inherits the Earth!

Whichever dinosaur was depicted the least innacurately, & that would have to be the T-Rex from the first movie.

Too long, too long, has it been since a JP thread was made here.

Dinosaur: Raptors/ T-Rex. Raptors give you a feeling of "OH SHI- RUN!!!", while the T-Rex gave off a "I'm fucked!" vibe.

Human: Ian Malcolm, Alan Grant, and John Hammond. Malcolm was the "Let's get this done" guy in The Lost World (Personally my most favorite JP :D). Alan Grant was the badass in Jurassic Park (Can you say you faced a T-Rex three times and lived? No, you cannot.). And Hammond was the grand-fatherly figure in the film. O felt sad at the end of the first movie because of his reaction when park failed.

The Dilophosaurus that owns that fat guy in the rain. Mwahaahhaha that made me laugh. I also enjoyed the Pteradons in the bird cage in the third.

Characters: Dr. Grant and Dr. Ian Malcolm were always my favourite characters in that series.
Dinos: Raptors. They always seemed much more intimidating than the Rex. Probably because they actually used strategy in the movies. What did the T-Rex do? It chased you and ate your buddies.

I gotta go with Malcolm. Jeff Goldblum has never been better than in that movie. But Arnold isn't far behind because he's played by a before-he-was-famous Samuel Leroy Mutha-fukin' Jackson!
