I usually don't like movies, and like them even less to see them in theaters. However, recently i saw a trailer for what looks like the movie of my dreams. So, who here is looking forward to the December release of Avatar. And why? And do you, like me, think that the blue aliens look extremely sexy.

I'm looking fowards to it.
An acquaintance of mine is offering to take me there as a gift, but I wanted to secretly plan to take them for their birthday...

Furries are bad

Are they furries if they have no fur?

You will be disappointed. If you can honestly say that you don't like any movies, you will certainly not like this one. Now, if you are exaggerating, and you are just really picky with your movies, yes, you will still be disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, it will be a wonderful movie. But you will find something that irks you to no end about it and it will be ruined because of that one thing.

I am.

Make no mistake, I don't see this as being the be all and end all movie as many claim and hype it to be. This is more like 30 mins of cool CGI art mechs and animals going head to head.

i find movies hard to sit through is all. Lord of the Rings, star wars, spider man, Titan A.E., iron man, major epics like that, i can sit through just fine and love every moment. But comedy movies, romance, drama, i find them hard to sit through for two hours. Mind you, i hates movies that don't have those elements in them, but i want a movie that is a magnum opus, if you know what i mean. I need a whole other universe just waiting to be explored, and the movie explores it.

From what I've seen, it looks quiet good. It's been a while since I've seen a good sci-fi movie in the cinema. From what I've gathered about the plot, It sounds like a very clever story and it looks absolutley beautiful.

It'll likely be the first movie I've seen in a cinema since April...

I'm excited, and here's why.

Consider James Cameron's more famous movies: Terminator was awesome. It had a badass killer robot with lots of guns from the future. He was an awesome bad guy. Terminator 2? Take the badass robot from the first movie, turn him inexplicably good and team him up with an annoying little kid to fight a robot made of liquid. That's the stupidest concept ever. Yet, Terminator 2 was BETTER than the first one! And the liquid robot? Second only to HAL 9000 in terms of scary robots/computers.

Alien was a scary, Fruedian, haunted-house movie in space. Aliens took the basic concept and made a kickass action movie out of it.
The point is, James Cameron makes good movies out of stupid stories and concepts.
That's why I'm excited.

I'm looking forward to it.

I would like to see it, but I doubt I will since I very rarely see movies in theaters. So hopefully I will be able to see it when it comes out on video or On Demand.

It seems kind of cliche, but the special effects are astounding, and it's directed by James Cameron.

I am indeed seeing it.

Ooh! Ooh! Me! I am!

It looks so cool! And I love the little synopsis I've read on it. It seems like it'll be at least a decent Sci-Fi flick.

I thought it was ten feet. Anyhoo, In a way... they remind me of the Zentradie. If you got that, not only are you a supre nerd, but you deserve a Klondike bar.

Luckily, my dad got me and him two preview tickets two days before its release in the UK, although i'm not sure about being able to sit through a 2 hour 40 minute movie

Sexy blue aliens have been rising in popularity

Never thought I'd say that.

Anyway, I am not getting my hopes up, because these types of movies are VERY hard to pull off correctly, but if done right, it could be epic.

It looks kinda boring to me. It just looked like over hyped crap that I'm expected to take seriously but I can't really take blue cat things with much seriousness.

Well, I dunno. It's been hyped to shit, and James Cameron isn't helping by keeping it under wraps from everybody until it's actual release, and according to gamespot, the game was kinda shoddy...

But here's hoping it's good regardless.

It looks preachy.
The evil and technologically advanced humans (who will probably be all white) are invading the home planet of the wise but primitive peoples for land and resources. NOPE DOESN'T SOUND FAMILIAR TOO ME! And the good guy joins the aliens (no spoilers because it's in the damn trailers) come on! How predictable can you get? And his rational for defecting seems to be that he falls in love with one of the N'aavi (I think I got the name right) the man has to have some serious issues to go for a being that's a cross between a smurf and a jungle cat. I'm looking at you Soushi. I literally cannot empathize with the aliens, if I saw one of them I WOULD shoot it, then BURN it.
So yeah, I'm not going to see it in theaters, but maybe if it gets good reviews I'll rent it.
