Alright, I don't think all teenagers are dumb, infact, I'm a teenager, but this is mainly focused towards some of the dumb things we do.
(Note: all of these can be applicable to any age group. I'm just focusing out teenagers because in most of the cases, they're the most guilty of it.)
Alright, First off, I'll start on a side that mainly guys fall into.
Why are guy's such jack asses?
Not all guys, but some of thme.
Why is it all that these kinds of guys care about is sex, and they aren't even willing to continue the actual relationship, and just want to be at that one point? Imagine in a game, Where there's a story line, and then, all of the sudden, at a climactic point, the story line just ceases to progress, and it goes to repetitive gameplay, no more story. Sounds dumb doesn't it? Well, this is what a lot of people I know do, and they wonder why they break up 3 months later, not even wanting to go on another date with the fucking girl!
And with most of my female friends who have had this happen to them are some of the most interesting people I know! Why wouldn't you want to actually socialize with them? If you'd continue doing relationshipish things with them, and limit sex, odds are you'll end up having more sex but in a longer timeframe! Are these guys really this retarded?

Alright, now I'm switching over to things girls have more of a majority.
Why do girls get upset that there douchebag boyfriend broke up with them?
Shouldn't this be expected? I've had it up to mt. everest with the amount of people who say "I'm so done with boys" On facebook and then 2 weeks later get into a relationship with another douchebag, 1 month later, after they were violated by said douchebag, they break up, process repeats itself.
Seriously?
WTF?

Why do girls get into relationships with the same guy 4-5 times?
Now, this one very's alot.
So the way i'm going to explain this is tell you a storyish thing.
Alright, so my friend has recently started going out with this guy again.
The first time they dated, they went out for a month then broke up. They quickly got back together and dated for a year. He- HE dumps her and crushes her feelings, and depresses her. 2 months later they get back together and date for another 3 months. Once more, he dumps her, and she is depressed. By this time she has figured out the guy is a jerk, and doesn't want to get back together with him. Now 5 months later, they're back together once more. The hilariously Ironic thing is that 2 weeks ago one of our friends was talking to us about relationships, and she explained how she thought this guy was "A huge jerk."
Now this is fucking sad, but has made my day at the same time. WHY? WHY? WHY? How does your oppenion so drastically change in a few days? How do you fall for the same shit over and over again? It's insainity! Now I know why Einstien said that!
Why are people so dumb!

Can someone explain ANY of this to me?

Captcha: SCIENCES edsfol- Is this well placed irony as well?

It kind of just sounds as though you're a bit sour because you're not getting the girls and the guys you perceive to be douchebags are.
The girls are obviously with them for a reason.

What exactly do you mean by 'violated'?

Had sex and didn't want to, or guy attempted to get in there pants.
Bad word choice on my behalf.

And for your inquisition- The only one that is really biased by "I LIKE HUR NOW I R JELOUSISISIS" Is the multiple same outcome relationship one... But it's still true.

I'm not a professional psychologist, but I can give it a shot.

Extreme Jackassery?
Hormones and having to form your own identity. Also the presence of bullying should be noted, being weak makes you an easy target, rather be a bully than the one bullied.

Girls upset for X?
Hormones, and from what I've learned, girls get upset a lot easier than men. (Or the men must always be in macho-mode and hide any sign of emotion).

Girls in same relationship multiple times?
Mood swings aren't rare, especially at that age, especially for tha ladies. They may also feel insecure and feel like that the only guy who would even think of dating them is the one who has already done so.

I'm not so sure. I think your judgement is clouded, if it weren't, you wouldn't refer to the guys as douchebags for the entire post.

I'm not trying to be mean, you just might do yourself a favour by not being bitter over it. If you're looking for a girlfriend of your own then rather than hanging around girls who like to ***** to you about their boyfriends/exes/people they've had sex with, go find some new girls who might be interested in you. Not that you should ditch them but you should try to find new people too.

That features Doom as a bad example. The creator must be *cracks knuckles* purged. Seriously though, I do agree with some. Perhaps nostalgia makes everything seem better in the past. I wouldn't know though, I'm a teen myself.

Because instead of having reasons to go outside, we have the Internet. This and the rehash of culture with Lady Gaga resembling some David Bowie like figure without any of his good musical styles truly are making teenagers dumber and dumber to the point where I feel so old I'm dying my hair Warhol white very soon.

Burgeoning Intelligence
Feeling of always being right

Why do girls get into relationships with the same guy 4-5 times?
Small pond and a sense of familiarity.

Why are guy's such jack asses?
Hormones and Follower Syndrome.

Why do girls get upset that there douchebag boyfriend broke up with them?

I just want to point out that when you say girls get into relationships with the same guy multiple times, this is the exact same thing as saying said guy got into a relationship with the same girl multiple times. Can't look at it one way without seeing it from the other side. That said, I can't actually answer your question, sorry.

Super dumb...
I just LOVE making blanket statements.
It just makes for such scintillating, non-reductionist, debates...

Teenagers aren't adults, and thus don't think like adults. There have actually been studies that prove this, showing that teen's minds use different areas to sort out problems than adults. From what they've been able to map, it seems teenagers filter things through the more emotional centers of the brain rather than the "logical" routes. So, there is literally less logic in their thinking.

Some just take longer to mature and grow out of this than others, and you've probably just matured faster than your peers. And it probably has a lot to do with the sort of people you hang out with, as well. If you hang out with people who value being jackasses, or going out with jackasses, or who fall in and out of love with the same person you're likely to do the same things yourself.

"Why are teenagers so dumb?"

Sigh, this needs a quick rewording.

"Why are people so dumb?"

Much better. If you believe that you suddenly become intelligent the moment you're no longer a teenager anymore, you probably fit in that reworded sentence. Age has nothing to do with maturity, but personal experiences and learning does.

Regardless, why I dislike people in general, especially those who drink, smoke, do drugs, etc, I don't really care anymore because you cannot control people. If they're being an idiot, let them. Thankfully, natural selection hasn't completely disappeared yet, so if they're doing something stupid, don't interfere. Life will take care of those people for you.

Happy holidays, OP.
