think about it.

If a zombie(s) eats a person until there is nothing left but bone and maybe some connective tissue
than they cant be a zombie
their just bones

instead people just get mauled and turn shortly after
but supposedly zombies have an unending hunger for human flesh <_<

so why dont they ever eat the whole person?

Because about half way through the person the meat spoils and the corpse anamates makeing a new zombie.

Sometims you beat the zombie or manage to get away after a bite, those people turn into zombies. And zombies are slow, so that's a surprisingly large number of people. If a zombie could, he'd eat the whole body, but they don't often get that lucky.

Small appetite? Short attention span? Maybe they only like it when the meat is fresh?

They do, but they don't eat them after they're already zombies. Usually if someone gets bitten then they run away, not knowing it's too late, and then turn into zombies.

Because zombies have feelings too and thus can be selective in what, in this case, parts they like to eat and don't. Man, I've got to explain everything *shigh* ;P

With my recent degree in zombie-animatronics. I can tell you it is because some parts are just not nice to eat! The same way we do not eat all of a certain animal. Zombies have standards too! I you headshot them, do they not bleed?

Because "Invasion of the zombie brain eaters!" sounds better than "Invasion of the zombie c**k-gobblers!" lol.

zombies do eat the whole person just some people eascape and turn before they are eaten and due to a zombies decayed body digestion is much much slower and since it has an insatiable hunger its not pretty when they eat too much (think left 4 dead boomer but with more meaty chunks and the smell of rotting flesh)

Zombies are actually quite civil about what they choose to eat, and underneath that hulking brute of an undead slob is the office worker you once discussed the latest ball game with.

In essence, they're not unreasonable.

...I mean, no one's gonna eat your eyes.

Sometimes the zombies just crave brains, sometimes they do eat the whole person, sometimes the answers above are sensible. It's really whatever serves the author and their narrative.

Speak for yourself. I'd be lot more scared of a shambling horde coming after me murmuring "teesstiiiclllessss...."

You said it yourself, because the victim wouldn't become a zombie themselves therefore adding to the horde therefore increasing the overall horror of the whole thing.
