Gmod is fast on most computers, but not mine, it is a laptop, here are the stats-

Why is it slow, the stats are not that bad, right?

Nope, I'm running Vista-32 and it works like a charm.

Must be the graphics card.

G-mod is really unoptimized and buggy because at heart it is still a hl2 game mod even though its sold as its own game. Also it has to do with how much stuff you have flying around your head and from the looks of it your comp is good enough but I think you should tune down your setting a bit.

Jeez, an X1250? That's archaic. Have you tried updating drivers, at the very least?

Even with the options turned down, it is slow and laggy. I have ALOT of addons, that make a difference?

Requiring a 64 bit system on such a low-requirement game probably won't be necessary until maybe 2020. (And it doesn't make sense, 64 bit only effects the amount of RAM you can have in your computer that is readable. There are some other differences I believe, but none of them effect the average everyday user.

And I think it's your processor. My processor currently is bottlenecking my graphics card, I get lower 3DMark Scores than ANYONE with my card because they all have i7's.

I've heard talk of that being a cause for slowdown in the past - can an expert of GMOD confirm this?

Yeah, it would make sense, but for that to be viable you'd have to be on borderline playability anyway.

On my old crappy PC where I got barely playable FPS on CS:S, I skinned all of my weapons as a test and realized my FPS dropped by nearly 10, and my computer lagged and stuttered just barely when I pulled out any one of my weapons.

Removed the addons :p
