I was watching the Even Stevens episode "The Secret World of Giris" and I noticed how different it was from Disney's current comedy fare of squeaky clean family comedies, or Idolized sterotypes of an 8 year old girls' view of what being a teenager is like.

Basicaly, Ren is having a Sleepover with a couple of friends and wants everyone out of the house on Saturday. To save up some money for a suit of armor, Louis sets up a secret camera and creates a show in which a bunch of pervy boys pay $10 bucks to watch Ren's Sleepover. The full episode is right here

What supprised me was the innuendo that's in this episode. One joke involves Louis drawing what I can only assume is a picture of male ejaculation and showing it to a litte boy. Not to mention, the show can be funny and weird with having to rely on cheap slapstick or a forced laugh track. It was subtle, clever, and funny. I would honestly like to see Disney (or Nickelodeon for that matter) kind of return to this down to earth style of humor by trying something in the style of Arrested Development, or Community.
