Eh, they're about the same level of difficulty really. If anything bass is easier.Aunel said:Why do I play bass instead of guitar?

real men seek a challenge.
I'm the same way. The reason I never crank up the difficulties in RPGs (by which I mean games like Fallout, Planescape, and Morrowind, not Mass Effect) is because quite simply: they take too damn long. In a shooter, you know that you can overcome every situation the game throws at you if you'ree good enough, and I like to see if I am. In an RPG, harder levels tend to just turn into level and stat grinding. It's not a challenge; it's manual labor.2012 Wont Happen said:I play first person shooters on the hardest difficulty. RTSs I generally play on medium difficulty. It seems like the proper way to play them.
RPGs I leave at whatever the default is.
I don't know why I have different completion standards for different genres, but the reason I play on the hardest on FPSs has to do with my older brother referring to all other modes as "pussy mode" throughout my early development as a gamer.
Yup, same. I just finished GOW3 on normal and it wasn't that hard so I'm playing through it on hard and it's pretty challenging now. And again bragging rights, it's nice to be able to say you can beat X amount of games on a high difficulty level, and usually there are achievements/trophies to make it all the sweeter. But if it's too challenging then I'm happy to give up, like OP says I'm not going to sacrifice my own enjoyment for the sake of bragging rightsTheSeventhLoneWolf said:I play on hard to challange myself.
Bragging rights too. If you're into that sort of melarky
