It is not a secret that one of the main reasons why we watch/read/play movies/comics/videogames series, is because of the "evil" guys.
We always love to have a strong antagonist with a unique personality to make us more interesting to continue follow a series we like.

However, even I said that, I always love to see as many times us possible the classic shadow evil smiling face like these ones:

I don't know why, but I always love to see THIS specific face:
The face that tells you that something REALLY bad will happen soon or in the future to our hero and his people.
The face that you can see that he is evil and he/she enjoy every single moment smiling like this and toying with the hero.
The face just he want just to show to you how evil he/she is even this doesn't actully serve for nothing in the reality.
The face that shows that being evil is AWESOME!!!

Of course I care if most of the times the antagonist from a videogame/comic/movie doesn't have a convincing and interesting personality to keep me interesting, but when I look this face out of nowhere, this specific moment the evil guy show his true color, that he/she indeed is evil with a big f*cking evil smile while he/she is stabbing the innocent woman to her chest [just an example], make me all the time happy.

So with that said, what do you think about that?
Do you agree that you want the antagonist have this specific evil smiling face or do you think it is so cliche for our days?

Reminds me of a certain cat's smile...I can't say I have such an attachment towards it myself though.

Its just so gleefully evil, the wearer of that smile has no regrets and just fucks shit up and has a great time doing it. I personally love it, I usually like the bad guys better than the heroes. In fact, my profile picture is a somewhat less extreme example of the evil grin.

I like that smile. Though, I do believe that one pre requisite is that you simple must show your teeth. Regardless of if they are pearly whites or pirates gold hoard. :p

The smile is always so unique because it is universally known. just like a normal smile, the evil smile is understood through out any language, any age, any species even (looking at you, aliens). You can tell immediately that this guy is bad. Way bad. EVIL! People are drawn towards evil things like these smiles. I'm sure you've all seen a game or movie where the bad guy flashes his evil smile, and the pretty girl or innocent sidekick is lured into the dark depths of an alley way or a secret hideout.

It's because deep down, we all secretly long to be evil. Simply because of how easy it is.
