Wierd scratches...

So I was about to take a shower when I noticed some wierd little scratches on the back of my right shoulder. There are four scratch marks, the first three are about an inch in length and maybe 4 or 5 millimeters apart from each other. The fourth scratch mark was probably twice as long and maybe 7 millimeters away from the others. My first impression was that the scratch marks look like it was from a cat. The problem with this logic is that I don't have a cat nor have I come into contact with any cats recently. The only animal in my house is my dog (another reason why there couldn't have been a cat) and she's a german shepherd, not exactly the right type of animal that could have left cat sized scratches on the back of my right shoulder. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may have left these marks? I know I'm probably not going to get any useful answers but I'm at a loss of explanation.

I usually get unknown scratches on my fingers and arms. I have no idea where they come from.

I get those occasionally. I think sometimes we bump into something and get scratches that aren't deep enough to feel. Although, I'm not an expert so I could be wrong.

Could you possibly be scratching yourself in your sleep? I know I'll draw blood while unconscious.

(Adds useless post to thread!)

I was having the same problem with my legs. I'd wake up with weird scratches.
Then I saw my husbands toenails - MYSTERY SOLVED!

Maybe scratched yourself in your sleep? If it worries you, you can wear mits to bed. My friend had to do that.

It's probably evidence of a quantum discontinuity temporarily manifesting a possible cat while you sleep and then quickly returning the cat to the original alternate time stream from whence it came.

take a look, do they look something similar to these scratches?

They kind of do look like those, except much smaller and on my shoulder.

I'm pretty sure the scratches aren't self inflicted because the lines are much too narrow to be from my own nails and it would be difficult for me to scratch through my shirt. Also, I sleep alone, therefore it is not the result of another person. The best way to describe the scratches would be to compare them to cat scratches.

Got boned lately?

Anyway... I get these all the time. But usually their really bad. I had a 3 inch gash in my knee that soaked through my socks before I noticed it. I have mutilated my hands (And I mean MUTILATED) and not noticed until I tried to write on paper (And saw my blood soaking the sheets).

Those are just two examples of a fairly common trait I have.

It's most likely I rubbed up against something. I don't think I believe in "demonic attacks" but I think it would be pretty cool if I woke up to find a demon lurking over my bed. Actually that would be scary as sh!t. Unless I wake up tomorrow morning and find more scratches or my walls start to bleed, I'm just going to assume I rubbed up against something.

Only one logical answer...
Your house is haunted by ghost-tigers.
MINIATURE ghost tigers!

Anyway, this happens to me more than is entirely logical. I'm looking at a scar on my arm right now that I think came from a tree branch. I think.

Other instances: Why does my lower calf sting?

*pulls up pantleg*

Oh, I'm bleeding.
