So Nintendo has announced an official Wii price cut for the US and Japanese markets.
For the US, the price cut will take affect from September 27th and will see a price drop from $250 to $200. On the other side, Japan will see a price reduction in October going from USD$273 to USD$218.
I think Nintendo has done well with it's console considering that this is the first time it has made a price reduction since the Wii's launch in 2006. That's a 3 year run before receiving its first price cut of 20%..that's actually very impressive. And with the Wii's new listing price the PS3's price cut advantage is no more.
But, even with the reduced Wii's pricing is anyone going to be enticed into buying the product?.
