So, anyone else think he looks a LOT like a young Hugo Weaving? I mean that jawline is amazingly spot on. Which I find interesting when I saw the article above his photo being related to LOTR, and thought they were doing some "Young Elven Story", which hell, maybe they are, and maybe that's why they got him. To play a "teenage/20s" elven equivalent of...shit whatever Hugo's character's name was in that series, I forget. Sorry I'm not a huge fan of LOTR so it doesn't really stick in my memory at all.

Just a random observation about his appearance from my perspective.

So, this is supposed to be taking place in the Second Age of the Sun?

Anyone playing Elros?

Sorry, I don't really see the resemblance. If anything, in a lot of his pictures Poulter looks more like he'd play the rich brat that bullies the main characters in some kind of teenage drama, but who gets his ironic comeuppance later on in the movie.

Will Poulter also played the most intense racist in Detroit. (Yet another example of British actors playing antagonists that were meant for Americans. Are American actors still prioritising their image over doing their fucking job these days?) Not sure why that credit is hardly ever brought up, as villainous roles are way more interesting for the portfolio. He came from the same shithole area of Britainland as me too! Feels like I should feel some unearned kinship from that, like micro-patriotism or something.

Oh right, the show! Err...too early to judge.

Cover up the top half of their faces, and just look at the lips/jaw area. Basically the bottom half of the face. I'm not saying he's a twin to the actor, just that the chin and lips, are very similar in appearance.

"Elrond".
Only mentioned a couple of times in The Silmarillion though.
Yeah that guy. I always just saw him as "Hugo Weaving" when I was watching the films.

Um, Eustace Scrubb? This is Middle-earth. Not Narnia. Go back to the Wood Between the Worlds and get it right.

(Seriously, how am I the first person in this thread making that joke?)

Yep. The show can't show anything in the Third Age.
