"Jingoism," a word I didn't even hear for the first time until junior year in highschool, really needs to be used more often. It describes the attitude that many Americans mistake for patriotism really well, and it's a shame that it died out in common usage some time between the 19th century and the present. I think it might be used more commonly in Europe, considering some posts I've read online, but I've never heard it used in the U.S. outside of that one U.S. history class from my Junior year.

I am quite a fan of old-timey exclamations, and will quite often use 'egad' in everyday life

I like the suggestion of rapscallion, and may have to make an effort to bring that into common usage

I would love to see "jolly" come back, unattached to any image of Santa Claus. And I would love to see women who know and follow the idea that "curvaceous" is a fucking awesome thing. Thin is about as interesting as an expensive toy to a 3 year old, when the box it came in is infinitely better.

"cheesy" and "fruity" These words should be used to comment as a remark to something e.g. After watching a video that is too happy- That video is so cheesy/ fruity. (It should NOT be use to offend anyone.)

I would bring back the good old "And how!" Because I absolutely adore saying that with a well timed swing of the arm.

I'd love to hear people saying 'Groovy' again, especially in sarcasm.

"John your house just burnt down and someone stole the ashes......"

I tend to favor "gadzooks". I don't know if it was ever popular or where I first heard it, but I enjoy it.

I also use "peachy keen" occasionally. It usually makes my older customers smile.
