So, what are some examples of times where the first part of the game was harder to you then it should have probably been, like dying to the first enemy repeatedly or thoroughly.

I have two examples of this happening; Dying eight straight times to the first enemy of Super Mario World, and losing the first battle in Pokemon White to Bianca without landing a successful hit.

YES! Final Fantasy Tactics, after seeing the story and the leangthy tutorial, I didn't realize that when you chose where to place your characters Ramza and Delita that you could also add a few more units.... so my brother and I played and were only 2 units against an army... no chance to save before that, so we had to go through it all again after we died. Awesome game though.

Frozen Synapse. I got whacked so many times in that opening mission you'd think it was a mob movie. Then I learned you could plot the potential movements of your enemies to see how things would work out. bakka, bakka, BAKKA :)

In Ninja Gaiden 2 the first group of enemies are normal enemies. Enemies that can lose limbs and continue to crawl to you to stick an explosive in you. They don't tell you about obliteration techniques(finishing off a wounded enemy), blocking or dodging during that FIRST fight.

I had to redo that fight several times the first time I played.

I'm not going to call it the worst but certainly the most trying, recently, was the witcher. It just keeps fucking going.

The prologues in the two Witcher games were awful compared to the remainder of the games (which are great). I spent the first 20 minutes of each game having no idea what I was doing at all.

First time I played InFamous, I fell in that molten metal or whatever so many damn times. Also, the first time I played ff7 was when I was very young and I'd borrowed it from a cousin. Until I bought the game a year ago, I only had vague memories of fighting a giant red scorpion and getting my ass handed to me. Only now do I realize how stupid I was, lol.

Well I cannot get passed the first mission of Hitman 2: Silent Assassins. I've looked at video walkthroughs, but guards always catch me.
