Worst ending in a game.

The worst ending I've come across in recent memory is Dead Space 2. Isaac destroys the Marker and prepares to die. Elle saves him and it cuts to him sitting in the cockpit of the spaceship in a scene similar to the ending of the first game. Like in the first game, he suddenly looks across and there is Elle sitting next to him. Cut to credits. I did all that for that lame ending, what a load of crap.

There is definately going to be a third game and I've said it before, I hope that Isaac Clark is not in it, in my opinion his story has been told.

I honestly thought the writers were gonna go with a Fight Club/A Beautiful Mind style schitzophrenia plot twist. I mean when Alex Mason is shouting "I am Victor Reznov!" I was like, that is fucking awesome! The protagonist is insane and Reznov doens't really exist! He's a coping device that Mason developed while he was in a Russian prison. but no...... The russians were controlling his mind.... controlling his mind, how retarded is that!?!? The Tyler Durden twist would have been way edgier and way better, hands down.


Treyarch's writers can go fuck themsleves.

Well I did his morale boosting quest thing, had him in my party the whole time and he never went down during the last battle, then the last sequence comes "oh god... I'm dieing *cough* can't feel my legs *cough blood* feel.. so... cold" ... when the f* did you get hit?!
I understand the game has a system for those deaths, but the way it was portrayed was random and unnecessary.

I liked Fable 2's ending. It was thought out, and I wasn't expecting anything massive. What could they have done? A bigger great shard? All you do to those things is fire from the distance.

Apparently I'm in the minority but I thought the CoD4 ending was pretty bad.
Player: la la la, saving 40mil lives, shooting people from a moving car, la la la...
Developer: This seems like a reasonable place to end the game.
Player: huh, why'd everything go blurry. Oh, I guess I'm close to death, and the normal "hide behind cover for health to regen" doesn't count for some reason.
Developer: OH WAIT, we haven't killed Big Bad Russian yet! The thing that the entire plot was about! Oh, there's not enough time to do this properly now, let's just have him walk towards the player pulling scowly faces. Oh, and make everything slow motion, 'cos that's more dramatic.
Player: Hold on, why can't I just shoot him?
Developers: Cause we say so. Just wait...
*Bad guys shoot Gaz*
Developers:... now you can shoot him.
3/4 shots later (adter what apparently counts as a "boss fight") the bad guy is dead and you're lifted into a helicopter. They pull the old "you saved the world but nobody knows" trope, fade to white, the end.
