Worst game sequel

What in your oppinion is the worst game sequel ever created? The games that begged you to say did this really need to exsist or this completely just killed a franchise. Which games belong on this list?

Not the "worst" sequel, in fact its a really amazing game, but I'd say Freespace 2 was so damn amazing that it practically killed the entire genre of space-combat games.

Kane & Lynch 2 automatically springs to mind with horrible sequels.

I daresay some Capcom-made sequels arent very good either, but theyve certainly broken that habit.

With regard to this Freespace 2 isnt considered bad because it is bad (it isnt), its considered bad because of its poor horrible sale rate. It told the industry that the majority of gamers didnt want games like the Freespace anymore, so most of the developers packed up and left the genre.

The only megaman game with the description of 3D and on the N64 is Megaman Legends. Which is not a sequel but the start of its own verse.

Compared to Resident Evil 4, I thought RE5 was terrible

I'm not one to jump onto bandwagons, but having finished Dragon Age 2 about an hour ago I have to say it was the worst gaming experience I've had for years. Sure, Origins had it's flaws and to be honest I've never really liked the gameplay, but still it managed to keep me interested for well over 50 hours. DA2 not only failed to keep me interested, it actually made me feel more and more unentertained and at certain points (Anders, I'm looking at you) just outright annoyed.

An ok game on it's own merits, but unfortunately like any sequels, I must compare it to the previous.

Ultima IX. They still could have recovered from Ultima VIII, but IX not only killed the series, but Origin Systems itself.
