Whats the worst gaming accessory / peripheral you've had? Cheap controllers you bought, flimsy memory sticks or cards etc.

I think the worst I bought was a PS1/2 controller that was massive, I got attracted by the many buttons it had at the time and thought it pretty cool....none were ever useful, the controller broke pretty easily and it was FAR to big for my hands, it was MASSIVE and you only really realise the size when you put it next to the old Xbox controller. Ridiculous.

A couple of cheap 4gb PSP memory sticks were flakey and fell apart far too easily. I've had some crappy stuff.

those stupid steering wheels they sell with driving games, found it to be a complete waste of time a controller was much easier to use.

Now, I didn't have this myself, but I did use it. It's one of those things you put on a PS3 controller that makes it higher. I had to wonder what posessed the creator to do this, it's taking something that works just fine, and gluing on extra bits. It was supposed to increase your accuracy, but it was just uncomfortable, and when I took it off, I could aim better.

Um... The Genesis Portable. It ate batteries too fast to be worthwhile.

The sports peripherals for the Wii. It knocked all my tennis shots out, fouled all of my baseballs, and sliced all of my golf shots. The Mii's themselves were getting tired of it.

P5 gaming glove for the PC. Practically like a useless Wiimote.

FPSFreeks. I aim better without them.
The best periphial I had was a PS2 controller I had spray painted gold and the buttons chrome...damn that thing was cool. Then someone stole it.

A stupid little light for the Gameboy Advance, it was a little light bulb on a bendy wire that you plug into the top of the Gameboy, needless to say it was useless, all it did was create an unholy amount of screen glare with a distracting bright light in the center of the screen.

Any Intec accessory. I've had my fair share of angry Xmas returns because my 'rents, through no fault of their own save lack of research, picked them up as cheap stocking stuffers.

The Game Boat.
Alright, I never owned one, but it is by far the worst peripheral there is.
IT DOES FUCK ALL!

I wasn't going to post this because I don't remember/know too much about and am too tired to go searching for info, but it's that thing you plugged into the back of your N64 controller so you could play your Gameboy on your TV, now I only ever played Pokemon Yellow through Pokemon Stadium so I'm not 100% on whether you could play any other games, now don't get me wrong, at the time I loved it, it worked and playing Pokemon Yellow on a TV felt awesome, but here's why I hated it, it ruined Pokemon Yellow for me, because it had that feature which allowed you to speed up your game, and because I would always have it on for things like caves and level grinding, going back to playing it on a Gameboy made it feel like it was going in slow motion and made it feel boring, I'd be on a long car trip trudging through Mt Moon, all the while thinking "If I was at home I'd be on the S.S.Anne by now!".
