The main reason I bought a PSP was the fact that I could play nearly identical home console games on the go. The thought of playing a PS2 game on the go was nothing short of amazing. Full 3D games, ANYWHERE. Granted, I knew things would be changed and things would be sacrificed, (Like graphics, but I expected that and didn't care.) But the one change that really ruined the greatness of the PSP was the lack of a right analog stick.
When I was considering buying one, I didn't think much of it, figuring it would be counter-balanced by decent camera angles in-game, since, you know, the game is MADE FOR THE PSP. I was wrong. I realized that 3D games NEED a movable camera, and after playing Resistance: Retribution (which uses the face buttons as the camera controls. BTW, not a good idea.) I knew that nothing could replace the functionality of the right camera-control stick.
My question is, if a new portable system came out WITH A RIGHT ANALOG STICK, capable of full 3D games, would it be a good idea? Bad idea? Pointless idea? And would the company (Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, Apple, Sega, or whatever company you want) affect it's success?
