Would this be worth it for a PSP?

So, I've recently dabbled in buying a PSP, but not as a gaming device, but as a multimedia device. I will still get 2 games, Peace Walker, and Chinatown Wars, but my primary focus for getting it is to watch movies. I learned I can get it for about 75 dollars new, because I have a bunch of gamestop giftcards stacked up.
So, my fellow escapists, do you think it's worth it?

No. I'd but the console again just to play Crisis Core if I hadn't already, but as a multimedia device the PSP isn't that exceptional.
It isn't very easy to put video on there and isn't so nice to use multi-purpose. If you're not primarily buying a PSP to play games you're better off with an iPod touch or something. Much more user friendly for movies/music etc.

Also, how do you dabble in buying something?

I've learned that anything I have to put a considerable amount of thought into buying usually leads to buyer's remorse within a very short time.

Sorry, used the wrong word, I meant to say considering.

If you're getting it to watch movies only, no. Get a portable DVD player/laptop/video-iPod so that you don't end up stuck with a stack of UMD's you can't use with any other device when you're done with the PSP. if, however, you discover that there are more than 2 games you wanna get for it (like at least 7-12 I'd say) then go for the PSP. People give it a lot of crap, but it has some pretty fun games on it.
7-12? Woow, I don't play nearly that many games on mine and it's worth having.
You just need 3-4 really good games, and then a couple of time-wasters.

Well, only if you don't care about any of the features the PSP2 will have. It don't take UMD's so any games you buy for PSP1 won't fit unless you purchase them online (so can just download them onto either system). For multimedia though, and if you're not too fussed on games, just get an ipod. A little conversion here and there and you can have you're entire library of movies and music on one handy device. PSP has like.....6 UMD movies... unless you want to "rent" them from PSN. Lame.
