Best Buy Canada is already advertising a Grand Theft Auto Xbox Elite bundle for $349.99

I wouldn't be too surprised if they soon knock $50 off that number to match the current $299.99 retail price of the PRO and eliminate it entirely. They have already stripped the PRO model from their ads this week.

That's really weird. In Australia, most people I know who own 360's went with the Pro option (as did I) as they saw it as the 'middle ground' between the Arcade and Elite. To most it represents the best of both worlds; especially now the Pro has a 60GB HD instead of the old 20GB.
Oh goody. This would mean that I could get one of those sweet Elite systems to replace my bricked Pro. I am of course assuming the Elite is going to be at the Pro's price: otherwise getting rid of it would make no sense at all.
Of course, there's always the option that this was just somebody goofing up with the packaging, but I doubt that: why bother changing the packaging at all if they weren't phasing out the Pro?

I for one wonder if the 360 pro was just breaking more often, which would justify rumors of them removing it from the line.

I really don't understand why they keep the arcade edition. The only reason they sell is everyone knows they are (almost) guaranteed to be Jasper chips. But I don't understand why they push their Xbox Live Arcade with all its downloadable arcade games on the only Xbox that doesn't have a hard drive to download to!
