Xbox Game Pass Launches June 1, Two Week Free Trial Live Now for Gold Members
Microsoft has revealed the Xbox Game Pass, a new subscription service that lets members download and play over 100 games.
The Xbox Game Pass is a brand new offering from Microsoft that kicks off on June 1. What is it? It's a list of 100 Xbox One and backward compatible Xbox 360 games that members can download and play. There are plenty of big name games on offer here, including all three Bioshock games, Halo 5, and NBA 2K16, just to name a few.
The service works pretty simply. Once you have subscribed, you can download any of the 100 games on offer to your Xbox One. In fact, if you have enough hard drive space, Microsoft says that you can download every single game on the service if you like. You also can play the games you have downloaded all the time, even if you are offline.
Microsoft plans to add more games each month, and the number of games on the service will "vary month to month," Xbox's Mike Nichols told GamesRadar [http://www.gamesradar.com/xbox-one-game-pass-library-price-games-online-requirements-downloads/]. If you like a game that you're playing, you will be able to purchase "all Xbox One games in the catalog - and related add-ons - at an exclusive discount, allowing you to make them part of your permanent library," Nichols said.
If this service sounds like something you'd be interested in, Microsoft plans to launch it on June 1. If you are a member of Xbox Live Gold, you can start a 14-day free trial today. If you decide to subscribe, it will run you $9.99 a month.
You can find a full list of the games available at the launch of Xbox Game Pass over on the official Xbox site [http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/xbox-game-pass#gamesection].
