Yakuza of the End Gets Release Date & Zombie Tour

Good news, everyone! Zombies are invading Japan this June!

Have you been fervently-awaiting the Japanese release of Yakuza of the End so that Sega can turn its attention to releasing it here in the West? You know, that game based on the Yakuza franchise that seems involves a dude with a mini-gun for an arm fighting zombies? Well, it turns out that the game's hitting Japanese store shelves on June 9th, and Sega's going crazy with the game's promotion.

The game's set to receive a "tour" of sorts. Starting on May 14th, the game will be playable at four different shops each week. If you're in Japan, 4Gamer has a list of the specific stores that will have the game on display.

Yakuza of the End was pretty widely-anticipated before it was indefinitely delayed due to the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. Prior to that, the demo was released on the PSN and there've already been a number of retail demo events. However, this new tour will give a "a commemorative support Japan A5 clear file" (pictured here) to anyone who takes part in it.

Yakuza has had the crazy gameplay.

It's finally getting the crazy ass story to match. :)

Count me in if it gets localized.

Will definitely pick it up if it gets localised. Finally got my Yakuza 4 platinum yesterday, bring on of the end!

Wouldn't mind the other spinoff game, Kenzan! being localised either, as I heard really good things about that one.

So... I read the first line of the article in a Farnsworth voice. It made everything so much better.

OT: I'd kind of completely forgotten about this game, but it really seems like perfect nerd-bait. Japan? Check. Zombies? Check. Impractical weaponry? Check. Impractical weaponry as a body augmentation? Check. Seriously, this game seems like it was made purely to make nerds happy, and I think that it might do just that. Please, please tell me that this will get a North American release.

OT: Only played the deos of the Yazuka games, maybe I will get this one?
I wouldn't base your opinion on the yakuza games only on demos. To put it lightly, theyre shit and don't even show a fraction of what the yakuza games have to offer. On that note, what stops you from getting 3 and 4?

Wow, Japan really can't catch a break, can it?
I am so sorry.

Anywho, I doubt adding zombies to it will make me give a damn about Yakuza. Played the second one, hated it, played the fourth at a friends house, hated it marginally less, but still wanted to stop an hour or so in. Just felt like the games aren't for me, or really anyone who isn't obsessed with Japan.
