Do what I always do when a monster is near in Amnesia,run away as fast as I can and hide in a closet until the music turns back to normal as an indicator that the monster is gone.

Depends, if I decided it was a genuine monster (not likely) I'd freak out and peg it as fast as humanly possible.
However I'd more likely decide it was a guy in a suit trying to freak me out, in which case I'd stop and attempt to look unfazed. If he got close enough or raised his arm to attack me I'd hit him.

KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!!! Realistically I'd probably run and cry like a little ***** before clumsily tripping over something then being eviscerated and devoured by the Cthuloid freak. I suck.
Try desperately to turn on some lights, only to have them burn out within seconds, and then attempt to figure out the strange, arcane method for opening the door I'm standing near. In the dark. With this thing barreling towards me. Well, as long as I hide facing a wall or something, it won't attack me.
