One day, you are approached by a space marine/dragonborn/grey warden/spectre/defense attorney/white wolf/fairy boy/etc. They need your help in order to save the world/country/city/town hall/princess. What do you do, and how do you do it?

I tell them I'll gladly help, but when they turn around to run off towards adventure I'll sneak up behind and slit their throat with my dagger then loot all their shit. At least that is what my Argonian would do. He's a bit of an asshat like that.

I would:
Call him an over used video game theme (space marine)
Congratulate him on being so epic (dragon born)
Ask why his games aren't as good as mass effect (grey warden)
Congratulate him on being in mass effect (specter)
Stab him repeatedly (Defense attorney)
Run like hell from the talking animal (White wolf)
Kick him in the balls to see if they are still there (fairy boy)
Something generic (etc)

I'd give him an arbitrary fetch-quest, then pay him some pocket-change if he succeeds.

I would like to have a ranged weapon please! so I can stay at the very back.

And by ranged weapon I mean something like a sniper rifle/longbow depending on what adventurer it was, I could help them from say.... 100/150 metres behind!

If it was a space marine I would take the heavy armour and chainsword too please

EDIT: However if an Ork asked me to join them I would be so liek. "GIMME MOAR DAKKA!!"

Grab my gear and head off, hopefully a little message will then appear saying that I've joined the party, then that means I'm a main character and am effectively invincible until a point in the story where I may die. Possibly over a moral issue, maybe I'll even get to be a potential mini-boss.

And depending on the game, I may be a love interest. Allow me to woo fangirls with my sexily seductive voice and boyish charms, and then allow me to revel in all the rule 34 that will surely follow.

Of course if I'm just some random NPC that can join the hero, then I can't be sure I'll live very long, either I'll be done in during combat, or maybe I'll be sacrificed to an evil dark cult thingy.

Either way, it would be interesting.

I would be tempted but I would reject the adventurer offer.
My reasons is I would think he's a nutjob (unless the adventurer convince me he/ she's the real thing like display a magic spell or summon a dragon) and I am phyiscally unfit to run nor have I have necessary training to weild a sword or magic (unless he/ she can make me instantly learn it).

I'd have to be convinced that this adventurer isn't an extreme nutcase, but I'd probably join him. Normal life is too boring and I suck at it, so maybe I'll be good at adventuring.

Not every post in a thread needs to follow the precise rules laid down by the OP (Forum games are exempt from this).

Posts can be about the value of the topic itself, other people's responses to it, or simply something related that might be interesting to the other posters in the thread.
