Now, that all depends on the Rule 34 that's being used, the characters involved and how well it's written...

Well written? No problems. Rule 34 used for comedic effect or a way to give depth to characters? No worries there. The Rule 34 used varying between light, heavy, BDSM and group? Nope, nothing bad happening here.

But then if the story is poorly written, characters used are underaged/furries/monsters and the Rule 34 is bordering on Gorn/Torture Porn, then my general reaction can be summed up in a single image...

I have my limits, and sadly many stories go beyond them. Most of those are terrible so it's not really a bad thing, but when I accidentally stumble across something that does invoke the above image... yeah.

Related to that - Rule 34 My Little Pony. No. NO. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Ain't gonna touch that even if it follows the criteria for me to not give a shit about it.
Have you ever watched the pony thread simulator videos on Youtube?

I've never read a pure porn based rule 34 fic. I've only really listened to the really funny, not really well written fics. Because well, they're hilariously bad. When I hear a reading of a fanfic where the line "Fluttershy began to grow a dick the size of Amsterdam" is in it I know I'm going to get a few lols. Do I find them erotic? Fuck no.

Well there was thread on this web sight about My little pony not long ago. Not going to go much deeper than that other then to say I wish I never clicked on it.
Was that the one about Tiarawhy?

Its really not worth it, for every good story you get there are 500 which make no freaking sense in character or are just generally appalling. Even the few goods ones are only worth reading 4dalul or because its a decent story, not for... personal time.

I've read them after being drunk once, I laughed myself stupid.

They're mostly harmless, weird, disturbing. But harmless.

Erotica really isn't my bag most of the time (if there's a great story and it contains a tasteful scene, I'll let it pass.) I'm a fanfiction snob. There was a time where I would read shitty ones but I did it mostly to appease internet friends and even back then I found myself critically sighing at all the sillyness.

Nowadays I wait for recommendations.

I usually skim through and think along the lines of 'seriously? Oh, honey, that's just...not good.' Then either stop or come back when I'm really bored and wanna see if I can read between the lines, see what the author was going for and where they went wrong. Or maybe I have moments of masochism. Who knows?

That said, it's not like this is a genre dedicated to being terrible. There's a lot of bad...but there's the occasional good story there too. It IS possible to find ones that are tasteful, subtle, and even well written. It's just such a large sample that there's a lot of low-quality stuff in the way.

After all, with fanfiction, authors can go to places that official works can't. Sometimes that's used to good effect.

Capcha: "patience, child". Huh.

Ive had a look at one or two and I have never ceased to be amazed at how messed up some of that shit gets.
Really I have no intrest in fan fiction but some of that stuff is juet plain nasty even the tame parts.
It always changes the perspective I have on characters I like and I can never look at then the same again.

If it's for a show/other media I've never watched or have no interest in, I move on with narry a thought.
If it's for something I've seen/read/played and I find certain characters in it hot, I will investigate further. Like with Merlin fanfiction. There's lots of that to enjoy, particularly involving Merlin and Arthur. Not exactly surprising considering the homosexual undertones in that show haven't been "under" anything for the past 3 series' to the point that even the fucking cast fully acknowledge it.

If I find something /34/ in any way shape or form I consider it my duty to explore it.

So much regret. :c

I narrate it to my friends over voice chat when we're playing team based games.

Especially if it's pony related.

Why yes, I am a horrible person, thank you for noticing.

Damn, searching for specific ponies with safesearch off is a risky thing to do. Here's a story from me: My mum knows I'm a Brony, and she embraces it. I was working on my art piece for the Bronycon art contest, and I asked my mum about the colours of the OC pony I sketched out. I searched for Pinkie Pie in google images, safesearch was off. Thank god I was on my laptop, because if my resolution was any higher she would of seen the explicit rule 34 drawing of Pinkie right below. Luckily, she didn't notice and after she had gone I was so relieved.

I don't get why furries have to add such weird fetishs like vore, urine, poo, diapers, inflation(I know EternalNothingness is into that shit),weight gain etc..

why can't yall just pick something that seems normal???
Those fetishes aren't strictly furry, going to 4chan can prove that, but I'm not the right person to ask since I'm not a fan of any of that crap, I just remember seeing on tosh.o, I think, someone who was way too into inflation and was inflating himself or something.

I find it rather strange to know that people have put effort into making their own pornography staring someone they know (In this case, the character). But, I guess, it's there time and they're spending it how they please, aka, fapping to all their fetishes in one place--which is good for them. Sure, they can violate a character to whatever they desire, but that doesn't stop it from being kind of creepy...
Nonetheless, I try to ignore them the best I can, but, rarely, my eye catches ahold and curiosity pulls me in. Nonetheless, I break away a couple minutes later disgusted with myself, and the author.

They are normal fetishes, simply unorthodox by societal standards. The human mind does not regard Judeo-Christian sexual norms as being the natural norm, after all. Humans are into some pretty strange shit by nature.

OT: I stop at video game character lesbian erotica, because lesbians. I've seen enough of Rule 34 to learn it's always better to not wonder than to even have the slightest bit of curiosity..
But if you've seen the fury version of those fetish they much more nasty and I hate reading any rule34 fanfics with them in it.
I don't read them because that's not my fetish. And I read erotic literature to get my rocks off when I need to, that's all erotic literature is there for.

Sure, the furry fetish combined with some of those is disgusting to me, but not to the people whom share that fetish. And my judgment means nothing over their right to pleasure, as long as it isn't hurting anyone outside of themselves.

I think the closest I've come to this kinda fic was freaky fanfic Friday on... Kotaku I think it was? MAN do I feel way more normal after skimming through some of those stories. But yea, I avoid those kinda things like the plague under most every other situation.

Even the most disturbing shit just makes me cry with laughter.

I forget the name of it (someone'll tell me in about 0.3 seconds no doubt) but the infamous Harry Potter one had me in tears in about 4 paragraphs.

Oh yeah, My Immortal. That's the one.
