Didj is on my list too. I love cello and viola. Recorder, any number of flutes, and pan pipes. Various drums, especially water drums. A large range of plucked instruments, like guitar, lute, bouzouki... my favorite is probably the oud.

I just love the sound of a classic Piano, or Violin. Nothing crazy or anything, but damn I just love that sound.

Violin as much as I love guitar and all things concerning it the sound of a violin always moves me.

Played violin for 7 years and viola for 3. They're both favorites, but I might lean toward the deeper, richer sound of the viola.

Gaaaah! String lovers! *glares*
(Well, I just don't like string instruments because they sound like CRAP in the wrong hands. For reference, watch a middle school beginning orchestra.)
My heart resides with Brass, specifically this:

Here's why:
I think these things are damn versatile, to be honest. Throw one of these in anything, they'll find a way to sound good. (Cept techno)

Concertina ... AKA a squeezebox WHICH i finally got one for Christmas. I love the sounds it produces and the overall size.
not the best example but i wanted to show something outside the usual stereotype.

I rather enjoy the piano, harp, hurdy-gurdy, bagpipe, and violin. Of those, I guess the piano would be my favorite, considering it is the instrument that I have the most music of that features the instrument being played completely on its own.
