Your First Zero Punctuation Review...

What was the very first Zero Punctuation Review you ever saw, and how/where did you find out about it? (If you can't remember, just put your favorite).

The very first I saw was his review for Gears 2. I found it as the subject of a forum discussion on GameTrailers and decided to check it out. I loved it, and was able to quickly get my friends into it as well. This also led to my interest in other media from The Escapist such as Unskippable and Escape to the Movies.

My first review was Fable. My friends showed it to me while we were waiting to kick off a session of D&D, and we almost spent the entire session going through ZP... I just remember how he summed up a lot of what I felt about that game, and I was impressed with how expressive his drawings are, despite their simplicity. I'm agreeing with Yahtzee less and less, but he's still good for a laugh...

The Halo 3 one was the first one I saw. Yes, Yatzee, you need the backstory.

Seriously. You can't admit to not having backstory, then say that the elites are arbitrarily good.

Anyway, my first was Psychonauts. I remember I was on the Psychonauts board on GameFAQs when some guy linked to it. How I got exposed to this site, actually.

JC Denton was arbitrarily godlike in Deus Ex: Invisible War! MUST RAGE ABOUT IT!

Anyway, I agree with you. It's one thing to gripe about stuff like that in a game series that doesn't follow sequentially (like Final Fantasy), but the Halo games pretty much take place one right after another.

The first one I saw was back when Zero Punctuation was on the Escapist. Fable 1.

The first one I ever saw was the HAlo 3 one, which made me feel happy about all the Halo fanboys getting shown up.

So I continued watching and while I don't like the Wii/Nintendo bashing he's been doing, I still watch his stuff and, to be honest, I see him as someone to look to, in terms of intellectual honesty... Sort of.

See, it was after watching his videos that I realized quite a few things, and how much of a raving fanboy I've become... I've toned down since, but I think he really cut me deep with The Conduit review.
