Well, considering that we probably wouldn't be able to survive very long in the past, I'd prolly just go back 40 years or something.. and bring my pc with me. Then they could develop that earlier.. and I'd be rich.. and have my pc...

So unimaginative..

I'd take the fully loaded C6 in my basement and travel to a week before to charge the power systems and remove the failsafe. I'd then travel to wherever Adolf Hitler lived before he took power and off him. Then I'd go to wherever Josef Stalin lived at that time and kill him. Don't want the events of Red Alert happening. Furthermore,I'd take out the Emperor of Japan at that period of time, andthe Prime Minister/Prez/What Have You of Italy. With that plan,WWII never happened. And the I'd be hailed a hero, because survivors would all give the same description of the assassin, and when the reporters get their paws on that piece of info, they'd have a FIELD DAY! I'd then either join JTF2 in 1993 or start a mercenary company. Before 93,I'd join the Canadian Armed Forces as infantry.

hmmm...
I would take the bomb with me to when dinosaurs roamed the earth so that if time is circlular(which it would have to be to make a time machine like that) it would either do 1 of 2 things.
1.)create a time paradox which would destroy the universe
2.)I KILLED HE DINOSAUR, RAAAAWWR
either way I would be able to die happily knowing that I did one of those things.

I think i'd travel back to 1980 and probably just take my laptop. I could always sell it too since the technology would be way ahead of anything currently being produced.

I'd go back to the 60's and chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill.
Could I come with you?
I always wanted to live in the 60's so that's my choice too. I'd become a biker and join a random biker club. And if there is no way to stop a nuclear war I'd just keep my mouth shut about it. I'd also write a book about my life and all mistakes I made and give it to my younger self before I die. Just in case 60's don't work out, so the younger version of me could chose a different time period.

I'd go back to the 60's for obvious reasons (Having fun and being alive in todays hi-tech world and being the only old person who can work all the new stuff!) I'd take my blueprints for a time machine I'm working on... see if I can get it to work for my future (Present?) self to use it tomorrow (And make a spare)

I think I'd go to the 80s and start a thrash metal band or maybe ancient China and train to be a badass martial artist. And then be the emperor of Asia.

I would take my bass and go back to the San-francisco bay area during the early 80s and get involved in the thrash metal scene.
Haha, fuckin' A dude.

OT: I'd probably go back to the Dark Ages and try casting magic, only to be bitterly disappointed when it doesn't work.

I'd go back in time 1 minute and stop myself going back in time. If you're gonna go, paradox yourself.

Actually, strike that, I'd go back to 17:15 GMT on 23 November 1963, in Wood Lane.

But then you wouldn't have existed to take them out in the first place, so that's impossible!
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect but it's actually, from a non linear, non subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey...stuff.

OT:I would go with a book containing instructions for all the apple and microsoft products and form my own company before the other two (Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are my left and right hand men) and we would dominate the computer industry and construct an X-box360 without RROD. I am also going to send lot's of money to my younger self just to see if my memories are changed.

Well, the past is shit, I'd much rather go about 2 months into the future for my own reasons, but seeing as that's not possible...

Hmm, probably the 80s or the 60s, 60s for obvious reasons and the 80s...Well, because the music kicked ass.

I'd travel back to the point where the telegraph/telegram was invented (the first method of long-distance communication by means of a wired network) and take a phone with me. Earlier development of phone hopefully leads to earlier development of internet (if someone else brings a computer) equals massive boost to human development. And hopefully space travel by the time of the nuclear apocalypse.

Alternatively, I'd cheat, and work out some way to stop the Manhattan project.

I would have traveled to the future, fuck the present and past. However since the Official poster is a douche, i probebly would have gone back to the 1200's Japan and helped begin the Age of the Samurai. I would bring the lightsaber that was created recently.

Victorian era in Europe. I can totally pass as a pompous asshole there as long as I can get my accents straight. Being polite and thoughtful around cities these days can get you beat up for some reason, but being a gentleman can actually get you somewhere in Victorian-era England.

Or maybe I've just been reading Emma (the manga/anime) a wee bit too much lately?

EDIT: Oh, and I'd probably bring a D&D 3.5 Player's Handbook. Nerddom will suddenly have deep roots in 1800s Europe!
