Your Proudest or Most Ridiculous Gaming Moment...

We've all had those days where we're ridiculously good at our favorite game... You see every enemy, pwn every n00b, predict everything the defense is planning and play the best offense of your life...
Personally I've had my share of moments in TF2 on the 360, and already had 20-1 k/d ratios in the CoD World at War beta...

Just list the game and describe (to the best of your ability) your proudest moment.

Beating Halo 3 on legendary the first day before 10:00 A.M and still playing it on the multiplayer several times

Hm, I'm gonna go with the "most ridiculous" option.

Back in my days of newb-dom in Halo 2, I was playing a match with some friends. I was flying around in a Banshee when one of the guys got the rocket launcher, and he only needed one more kill to win the game. The guy with the rocket launcher had locked onto me, and one of my other friends quickly tried to tell me...

"Do a barrel roll!"

"I don't know how!"

*BOOM!*

"Game Over."

Yeah... I guess it was more of a "you had to be there" moment, but we still joke about it from time to time.

I have a couple in Counter Strike (which is weird cause I suck at Counter Strike). One time I stepped in front of a window when three terrorists popped their heads up. I was caught off-guard and randomly moved my mouse in their direction, started firing, and saw them all die. I looked up at the recent kills and saw that my random spray got 3 one-hit headshots in half a second.

ESPN College Hoops 2K5: As East Tennessee State, led Wofford 52-18 at the half. Final score? 105-18. Held them scoreless for a total of 19 minutes (their last points were at about 4:00 left in the first, playing on 15-minute halves.)

Capitalism II: Kept a savegame going just to see how rich my character could get. Turned out you can make him a trillionaire (leading me to assume they're using at least an 8 byte string for wealth in the code. I haven't tested its limit completely.)

NCAA Football 2005: Won a national championship on All-American using only one offensive play (Goal Line/HB Dive) for the entire season. I kept running the ball up the middle, AI kept failing to stop it. I'm actually prouder of the fact that my defense did not give up a touchdown all season.

Contra: Beat the game without dying. Repeated the feat with my brother in co-op in front of 10 kids from the neighborhood. 19 years later I couldn't do it again if I tried.

Team Fortress 2.

I was playing as a Demo-man and my team was losing badly. I was really hurt, and at this point in the match I didn't care about committing suicide in the game. So I attempt to bounce my grenades off of a wall to blow myself up in a cool way.

Well, somehow I missed and the grenades flew behind me....and blew up not one, but two spies who were about to backstab me.

Most. Kickass. Moment. Ever

We still lost, though.

randomly walking around trying to see what the hell was going on, suddenly an enemy tries to run me over in a sports car

Playing Counterstrike 1.something, downing 2 snipers with one blast from my shotgun. Yeah, I was that bastard who would sneak up on the campers and blow them away with the pump-action shotgun.

Crawling for 30 min through a Russian infested woods after getting my legs gunned down then crawling to a nearby town, stealing a car and driving back to my HQ in Operation Flashpoint.

on hardcore search and destroy cod 4, i was playing with 5 of my mates on bog and 4 of them ran out and instantly died form a grenade launcher and a hail of sniper fire, 30 seconds later my friend with the bomb died and the entire of the enemy team was left. i figured i might as well charge at them and i ran straight out into the little reading leading to crossfire when to enemies ran round the corner i took them both down with a hail of RPD bullets, and then threw a random grenade which killed a man near the small hill in the center of the map, ran though the other building and in the corrugated fence bit, saw one enemy running down near the tank and took him out i activated my UAV and saw one enemy guarding the target in the freight container (i think its B) and a camper right at the start of the level. i ran to where the sniper was and ran round the corner and sprayed the RPD at him with an instant headshot, i called the air strike but it failed to kill him. i ran towards B when the last enemy guarding it shot at me, i fired back and started to reload. switching to the pistol i flanked round him and fired wildly getting him into last stand i ran forward and stabbed him. so thats how i beat an entire team on Cod4 and by friends still call me crap. (We still lost overall though)

I used to play counterstrike with a male friend (and yes i'm a girl), and we always choose this spot in this place called The assault and i always headshot him with my dessert eagle pistol! *mwahahaha*

Any time in day of Defeat where I randomly fling a Grenade in the air at nothing in particular. Then it makes a double kill or better.

I felt particulary proud in civ 4 when i set up my first truely great nation and brought peace to the world. So my people thought of as a dictator and my remaining enemeies sneered because they had all the uranium, i didnt care. In the end, i left them behind once i contructed my rocket anyway.

getting 43/50 acheivments in Bioshock on my first playthrough, including finishing the game on hard.

I have two:

When me and my best mate went on a MP rush on De-Dust and killed - literally - every person on the other team in a blaze of glory.

When I lobbed a frag grenade with no sight over an obstruction and into the mouth of the red base in Halo 2, landing at the feet of the guy with my flag and his team mate running out to greet him, killing them both.

Nothing amazing really comes to mind. It's funny, they seem like the greatest thing in the world at the time and then (mostly) you don't remember them after that. Although, one rather humorous one I can think of was parking a lovely red Infernus in a nice spot on the side of a road in GTAIV multiplayer and then running off to hide and giggle like a loon as I waited for some poor sap to come along and "steal" it. And tried to steal it the poor sap did indeed. The blast off the RPG was glorious.
