Massive bump. This is one of my favorite threads on this forum. Anyone else have anything they want to share?

I personally found it incredibly difficult to role-play in Skyrim. I certainly gave it the old college try though. I had a skull I carried around for reasons I can't remember. I much prefer the Fallout series. I find having things like dialogue options and skill checks made for a much more in depth role-playing experience.

So look it's another Skyrim thread. But this is about something I've noticed in myself and probably occurs in other players. My main character seems to have developed a few weird personality quirks solely by the way I play.

Books, my character is obssessed with books, to the point where I moved houses just for more shelf space. Everytime I find books I have to think if I have a copy at home, if I'm not sure I take it, better safe than sorry, especially with numbered volumes. Whenever an enemy has a good selection of books, I somehow can't not admire them a little despite how evil they are. Boy I had fun raiding the Thalmor embassy's study.
Huh, my battlemage character is also obsessed with books. I hardly ever get round to reading them, however.

My main two characters are a heavy armour battlemage, and a light armour "ranger" specialised in axe and sheild melee combat and archery.

The light armoured guy is basically a viking. Simple enough, goes around seeking glory in bloodshed, aside from the fact that he's an imperial because I really hate stormcloaks.

The battlemage is far more interesting, as it seems with that character I've become some kind of ghost/monster hunter, specialising in all things wierd. It's gotten to the point where I can't even investigate a simple arson without it ending up being a vampire conspiracy.

My high elf is pretty much the best thing that ever happened to Skyrim. He has a compulsive need to decimate every bandit camp and forsworn camp that he comes across. He also has a hatred of the Thalmor, even though they are the same race. And he's afraid of vampires.

Welp, my favourite character is a Breton vampire hunter. Focus on crossbows, light armour, sneak and 1-h.

I suppose one quirk is that I insist on using one 1-h sword and no shield when I melee despite Skyrim not really supporting that style. Another is that I never have followers unless absolutely necessary, not out of some egotistical I HUNT ALONE sort of mentality, but simply because there don't seem to be any followers as good at sneaking as I am, which frustrates me.

Oh, and my archenemies are not dragons or even vampires, but rather cougars. My fights with cougars are decided by who sees whom first, and if I hear that roar, I don't even look behind me, I just sprint off, presumably while alternately cursing and praying.

Edit: Didn't realize this was a necro. /slinks off into corner
