I was into Ocarina of Time a LOT when I was younger (from the age of like 6-8), then I became a wigger and loved rap (Eminem and what not from the age of like 9-11), then I was into punk/emo music (My Chemical Romance, Blink 182 etc etc from the age of 12-13) and now I am into Metal and stuff, bands such as Amon Amarth, Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse, Death, Dream Theater, Ensiferum, Firewind, Nevermore and Wintersun.
It makes me smile that so many have transferred to metal, specifically death and melo-death. :D

I was kind of the same here. I was once a fat kid with a bowl cut. At the same time Episode 1 was on theaters, I started wearing my hair like Anakin.
Then, off to my teenage years. I tried to imitate the look of Billie Joe Armstrong.
Right now I'm 17 and have a post-grunge, alternative-esque, kinda indie look and lifestyle, and I'm happy with it.
And while we're on nostalgia road, I had a girlfriend once.
You're so lucky. I'm 15 (and a half) and have never had a girlfriend.
Serious advice: Get a girlfriend. It was one of the greatest experience of my life and I wish I could repeat that feeling of butterflies in my stomach.
Serious advice 2: I'm not an advocate for that white-guys-with-dreads thing, so may I suggest you ditch them.
1. I've tried. Have had my eyes on some special ones throughout 6th to 9th grade, but I've never succeeded.
2. Fuck that, I love it. I am a proper metal head now, and I look handsome in it.
Here's my advice:

-Get a girlfriend when you're ready. Don't feel rushed. And Its not one of the best things in the world, though it is great when you have a good one, but most of the time, you'll go through bad ones (from what I've seen, I've only had 2 and I'm 16)When you truly are ready for one, the universe will provide. (that's my hippie side talking)

-Don't ditch the dreads. I always wanted to put my hair in dreads, but my hair wouldn't cooperate, so I just gave up.
(I'm experiencing deja vú here, although that may be my sleepiness acting up, but anyway)
-I don't want a girlfriend just for the sake of having one, I want one cause I want someone that I can love and be with. And I don't want just someone when I want to be in a relationship. I currently have my eyes on someone, and I really want to get somewhere with her. So it's not that I just want it as an accomplishment.
- I won't. They're awesome, and I will probably keep them for years to come. Why can't you have it? Is your hair too thin?
Well, then that's good. Don't just go out with anyone just for the sake of it.

And I don't know. I have very thick and curly hair, but when I tried to put in dreads, they would just unravel themselves and go back to normal
Well, to make dreads that stick is complicated. I was lucky enough to know someone who knew how to make proper dreads. Get a professional to do it, but be prepared for a world of pain. Took 5 hours to make my dreads, and it was a painful experience of pulling and twisting. Then I had to redo it a couple of times to make sure they kept the promise of awesomeness. To make dreads you have to tangle the hair really much and not shower it for some time. It's a sad truth, but the only way to have dreads that won't take a daily redoing, is to not shower it very often.
That's what I did.

Took 6 hours of teasing my hair and it still didn't work. Oh well, I like my curly hair :p

I started getting into heavy music since the end of 8th grade, then I started growing my hair to try and be a metalhead basically (black tight jeans, band shirts, long hair). It started getting long but only reached my chin. Then in 11th I had an embarrasing crush and cut my hair, I thought it was my "time". I still wore lots of metal black but now I had short hair. Then I kinda grew my hair a little bit before I turned 17 but I cut it again and wanted to look coolish. Then in 12th grade I tried to be "normal" again. Now today I still consider myself a metalhead but I don't always dress like it. I cut my hair for now because I always wanted Light Yagami hair, but I still wear mostly band shirts, and I intend to keep my hair mildly long but not too long so I can still headbang \m/.

Light Yagami? And I'm happy tonight for all the metal heads here. Up with the metal! That was the number one reason I got long hair, for the headbanging.

Guess you don't have the hair for it. Oh well, we can't always get what we want. I wanted to be taller than 5 feet, but I'll have to live with using platform boots instead. :)

Uh... I dressed in no specific manner in the past and really don't dress specifically now. Generally it's just short hair, dark T shirt, jeans and tennis shoes. I'm boring like that.

I had a period in high school where I grew out my hair a lot. It didn't look too great on me, though, so I abandoned that prospect. As for my clothing, it's been t-shirts and jeans my entire life. I'm kinda sick of it.

birth til 10 years old - bland, no real style. hair was boring, curly and frizzy. No make up.

11 til 13 - what can only be described as "emo trying to be goth". Hair was badly straightened. very very very bad eyeliner.

13-14 - metalhead. baggy jeans, massive tshirts, the lot. Long, grudge style hair. Really quite embarassing. either no eyeliner at all, or loads.

14 til just before i turned 15 - scene. Got loads of layers in my hair. Dyed my hair light brown, then dark brown, then purple-black. Couldn't get rid of it, had incredible roots so cut all my hair to chin length & spiked it out at the sides. Started wearing foundation & stuff + got better at eyeliner.

15 til now - a combination of indie/scene/metalhead. Depending on my mood. Dress much older now. Skinny jeans, heels, tshirts and shirts, etc. Hair is long, layered and straightened all the time. Stopped wearing foundation anywhere other than my eyes, greatly reduced the amount of eyeliner I wear.

Even within those, I changed a lot. I decided to be quite vague to save you guys having to read a wall of text.
I quite like the way I am now.

I don't care if it's from anime I fucking want that hair, and if I grow it just a little longer it will be fucking awesome to headbang with.

Until I was about 12 I just wore tracksuits (since I didn't have much choice) then I wore jeans and a hoodie. Now, I'm 15, and I just wear t-shirts and board shorts.

Yes, my genetics are evil. Both my parents are very short, all my siblings are relatively short, and I'm probably the shortest.

Until about 2 years ago, I had long-ish hair, which really didn't suit me as it grew out more than down, and I had glasses. I was also chubby :)

Now, I wear contacts instead of glasses, have gained alot of muscle (can't really say I've lost weight, as I weigh more now), and lost a great deal of my flubber. I also have short hair now, which I prefer, no more whipping up in the wind.
