Hmm.

Final Fantasy Tactics - PS1
Final Fantasy VI - SNES
Skies of Arcadia - Dreamcast (I've played it on both consoles, but it was Dreamcast first.)

... Now I'm at a loss as there are so many games that I love. I can't decide for PC or PS2 as there are so goddamned many. My Gamecube saw a lot of Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing. My Xbox360 saw probably mostly Dragon Age, but Tales of Vesperia is up there, too. My Wii saw a lot of Harvest Moon/Rune Factory and some RPGs... My DS doesn't get a lot of use, nor did my other handhelds... my NES saw a lot of Mario and FF1. And a shit ton of Duck Hunt, because when you're 6, Duck Hunt is amazing. My N64 was mostly an Ocarina of Time machine. And Pokémon Snap and Pod Racers.

Never had an original Xbox, nor could I afford a PS3. And never owned any Sega platforms, was always Nintendo and Sony for us. Unless you count whatever Pong machine we had.

WHAT A TWIST.

Okay I'll give iT a shot and since thread creator added a PC game I am going to assume PC is A-okay.

PLaystation 3 - I am going to say my favourite game on this so far is HEAVY RAIN, with DEMONS SOULS, coming in second. Mind you, I haven't played that many games on this console yet. Playing through heavy rain for the first time just happens to be one of my favourite gaming experiences. Although this is the console I would play Bioshock on nowadays, the Xbox 360 is the consoles that I first played it on, so I am not going to count Bioshock, as Bioshock is my favourite gaming experience.

Playstation 2 - Easy, Shadow of the Colossus. Much like Heavy Rain, although even more. If I had to pick a top 5 list in all the possible games, Shadow would be in the podium with Bioshock.

Gamecube - This one is a little more difficult, as I had so much fun with this console. I think it is going to be between Animal Crossing, Wind Waker and Sonic Adventure Battle 2. There is so many more great ones though that I just want to put as my favourite. I guess I'll say Sonic Adventure Battle 2 is my favourite, I spent my entire sixth grade in a love affair with this game. Chao, right?

Nintendo 64 - Zelda: oRcarina of time. I loved this console, hated the controller. It was my first majour gaming console, I say this because although I played Sega Genesis and NES before this one, this is the first one I actually owned and built a gaming library for. So many great games, Bomberman 64, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart, Diddy Kong, Star Fox, ect. Ocarina probably has to be my favourite though if I had to pick. Mostly because it is a game I would still play today and enjoy more than I did as a kid. *and be able to get past the fire temple*

Xbox 360 - Bioshock, which is my favourite all time game. 360 vs PS3 is tough for me, because most of the games I love for 360 are multiplatform, I just happened to get a 360 in 2006 and a PS3 in 2010, if it went the other way around, I would have played Bioshock on PS3 instead, same with Fallout3 and Portal. Sooooo maybe I should say Halo: Reach is my favourite game on this console? Nope, Bioshock.

Honourable mentions

PC - Terraria, followed by Civ 5 and XCOM.
PS1 - Metal Gear Solid
Sega Genesis - Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2 and 3.
NES - Super Mario 1, 2, 3.

This is tough, I am bad at listing games that are my favorites already and a lot of the games that I can consider my favorites share the same consoles, either way I'll try:
Kibry's Air Ride (Gamecube)
The Last Of Us (PS3)
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS)
For PC, it is a close one. I got it down to two finalists, and after much consideration I shall put
Killing Floor
as my favorite PC game I have played. (I won't lie, there are some awesome looking games on the computer that by trailers alone I think would be as enjoyable or more enjoyable for the pc, but my computer is crap and can't handle much. One example is on the lowest resolution with everything set to the lowest graphics settings, I can't play Chivalry)
Now, the console I have the most games for is the 360, and this is a really tough one. I love so many games of so many different genres on it, though I think based on how much I enjoyed this game, I will put it on the top of my list for this:
Left 4 Dead (Xbox 360)

Also congratulations, this was a twist that made listing a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Super Mario World (SNES)
Timesplitters 2 (GameCube)
Okami (WII)
Brutal Legend (360)
Unreal Tournament 2004 (PC)

That's not in order by the way.

Not much of a Troll, MGR:R apart from being wanted for Word murder is possibly the most surprisingly good game of this generation.... Apart from the end boss.. that was just weird.

1) Mass Effect 2 and 3 Xbox 360- Ending be damned, both of these games were amazing, while two is the better game three had more moments of emotional punch to the face to over set any sourness the 3 teir ending left. Also Femshep. FEMSHEP.

2) Zelda: TooT N64/3DS: I could say no more about how good this game is than has already been said, while i had gamed for years prior to this game, the moment i first set out onto Hyrule field is possibly my most vivid memory in gaming. It Moved me, I stood around not believing that such a world could exists, While Windwaker is the better of the two games the personal feelings i have for OOT are higher.

3) WoW PC: 9 years and god knows how many hours. over 30 max level characters as per their expansions, still one of the most hopelessly addicting games to ever be made. Also, apart from Cata, its always improving, if you can dislodge the nostalgia goggles long enough.

4) Final Fantasy 9 PS1: A modern final fantasy that was not an cyber punk angst fest with one dimensional Bishies? A return to a more fantasy style game astetic? Vivi? A slow burn love story that not only pays off, but doesn't make you want to rip out your eyes with a claw hammer? Vivi again? Post Moogles? A main pair of main characters that don't make me just yell "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JUST FUCK ALREADY!" at the screen every 30-40 seconds? VIVI?! Sign me the hell up!

5) Pokemon, all of the... Pretty much every bloody hand held Nintendo have made: Gotta Catch em all Gotta catch em all! Ok yeah have pretty much 100-200 hours on at least one of every generation out there. Hopelessly addicted comes to mind. Was going to put last of us up there since its a bloody fantastic game, but will have to wait and see how it ages before i judge... now... Anyone wanna trade for a Groundon?

Well, I've been an exclusively PC gamer so this will be hard but since PC gaming was so much different in the early to mid-'90s than it is now, I propose two PC entries to reflect the time periods. Don't like it? Tough.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Sega Genesis): I don't know, something about Sonic 3 and Knuckles just didn't click with me as well. Maybe because I never finished it; I dunno. Anyway Sonic 2 was awesome. People liked to bag on how annoying Tails could be, but seeing as Tails can't die [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MR2JzK-y5_g], if you had two players he became the tactical nuke of the game. Also, the variety of settings and art design was pretty good for the time.

Perfect Dark (N64): Hey, remember how cool Goldeneye 64 was? Well, Perfect Dark was that but even better with a killer sci-fi setting with appropriately kick-ass weapons. That briefcase submachinegun/sentry turret could make multiplayer absolutely brutal.

Infinity Blade (iOS): Since nobody has touched on mobile gaming, I figure why not. This is mobile gaming done right. It's not f2p/p2w. Sure you can pay to receive in-game currency but it's not required to have fun, in fact paying would almost make it less fun as it would remove much of the game's challenge. It looks gorgeous in the Unreal 3 engine and the gameplay is superb, being fast paced and specifically tailored for touch screen. I've heard the sequel is even better, but I have not had a chance to play it yet.

Quake (PC retro): Some of the most fun I've had gaming was playing Quake over a LAN in high school. It was awesome to be able to smack-talk by just yelling across the room rather than through some microphone. Also, throwing wads of paper at people was not uncommon. The level design was fantastic (thanks, American McGee) and the enemies were memorable, not to mention that the number of mods for this game was staggering.

The Orange Box (PC modern): More specifically Half Life 2, but The Orange Box included the episodes and, of course, Portal (I'm sort of "meh" on TF2). Half Life 2 is one of the finest examples of how to tell a story through environment and set pieces rather than overly long spoken exposition or cutscenes. Even though the main game is almost 10 years old at this point, it still embodies most things I love in a single-player FPS. Now please Valve, make the next installment. By not doing so you're making people sad. Do you like making people sad? Don't be like that.

Honorable Mention - StarCraft: I remember how great the original was in 1998 and have been playing tons of SC2 lately. I'm not that good at it, in fact some days I downright suck, but for some reason I can't stop playing it anyway.

Well, now... I'll list 5, but that doesn't mean the order I put them in is the order I say is the definitive order... (like from favorite to super favorite or something like that...)

Tales of Symphonia (GC)
Persona 3: FES (PS2)
Rayman Origins (PS3)
Portal (PC)
Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep (PSP)

And, here's my honorable mention list that's mostly there to show that I have either
A) not yet completed some of them at least once (mostly) for certain reasons
B) is kinda cheating when you think about it (especially when you compare it to the main list above)
or C) I'm just listing the game on another system that it was also released on (aka B with a specific reason):

The World Ends With You (DS)
Jak 2 (PS2)
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (PS3)
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance (3DS)
Skullgirls (PC)

pah, easy enough, I would say.
hmm... maybe not... especially because I won't take the easy route an just list off five atlus games.
for the DS: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of sky. An amazing dungeon crawler, and an Incredible story, especially for a pokemon game. Runners up were: Pokemon Conquest, Elite Beat Agents, and Advance Wars DS

Next, the 3DS, with an obvious choice: Fire Emblem: Awakening. Do I even need to say anything?
Runners up are: Pokemon Y, SMT IV, and SMT Devil Survivor: Overclocked

following up, the Ps2. One of my more difficult choices, but I'mma gonna have to go with Dokapon Kingdom. It's like a beautiful mix of Munchkin and Monopoly. There is absolutely nothing more satisfying than beating down your friend, stealing his treasure, and then giving him poo-hair. Runners up were Steambot Chronicles, Trapt, and Samurai Warriors 2: Empires.

Next up is the Gamecube, which is the proud owner of the best mario game: Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door. It's just too bad that after this game, Nintendo seemed to forget this series was about RPGs.
runners up were: Custom Robo, Warioware Inc., Lost Kingdoms 2 and Pikmin 2.

Finally...hmm...
fuck it, I can't decide between the two, so the last one is a tie between Sakura Wars: So long, my love for the Wii and DanganRonpa for the Vita. They're both japanese visual novels, so its totally ok for both to take the fifth spot.

Halo 2 (Xbox)
Silent Hill 2 (Ps2)
Bioshock (Xbox 360)
Stanley Parable (PC)

And I haven't owned enough platforms to put a fifth game here, unless I put Crash Bandicoot on my list, and that won't happen. If i could allow duplicates I'd place Portal 2, Assassins Creed 2, killer7, Spec Ops The Line and Condemned, among others.

5. Super Metroid (SNES).
4. Star Fox 64 (N64). Let it be known that while this is probably my favorite N64 game, I consider Banjo-Tooie the best game I've played on the system. It's also by this line of reasoning that Star Fox 64 lands ahead of Super Metroid on this list.
3. Batman: Arkham Asylum (Xbox 360).
2. Metroid Prime (Gamecube).
1. Portal (PC).

Shadow of the Collossus(PS2)- this choice needs no reasoning. A stunning game that set the bar for character design (Dem collossi), and minimalist storytelling, the latter of which has only been surpassed by the souls series, particularly dark souls.

Halo: Combat Evolved(Xbox)- Had half-life 2 never been released, this would probably be considered the best shooter ever. In my opinion, it still is.

System Shock 2(PC)- the inspiration to bioshock, and a permanent gem, known for its writing, quite possibly the best antagonist in ANY ENTERTAINMENT MEDIUM EVER, and huge amounts of variation between multiple people and playthroughs; play how you want to. HACKER.

Dark Souls(PS3)- This game is the entire old school gaming community's morals and beliefs in a blu-ray. It's difficulty, unique approach to lore (the story becomes more clear and detailed the more you search for elements of it), and stunning customisability in how your character is built. Simply put, a modern classic.

The Walking Dead, Season 1(Xb360)- this is not a game. This is an experience. when i finished it, i cried so much that i ruptured blood vessels in my face. i had black eyes like i was in an abusive relationship, but this was worth it. Keep that hair short, Clem.

Honorable mentions: "im making a note here, HUGE SUCCESS!"

That is one hell of a twist... Um, this is kindda hard.

-PS2- Resident Evil 4

My first RE game and the one I like the most. Probably helps that I identify with Leon and Ada Wong was sexy as all get out in that dress. <.<

-PS3- The Last of Us

The feels, I mean ALL of the feels. I found the characters to be very well done. The arcs and pacing of the development was just spot on. Also helps that I would react similarly to Joel in the situations he was in.

-Xbox- Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2

It just felt like a good ol' DnD session, even had the obligatory rust monsters . A bro and I would just set down and enjoy the ride. If they did an HD remake for consoles and add more people to the co-op limit I would sign over my life savings.

-360- The Mass Effect Series

Yeah I know it's three games, #DealWithIt. I believe they have to be taken into account as a single entity as they are all the same story. ME1 is act 1, ME2 is act 2, and ME3 is act 3. I have easily sunk the most time per game into these games. I'm a sucker for a good space opera, Garrus is the ultimate bro, and dat Tali!

-PC- Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D

Not gonna lie this is kindda a dump slot. I did enjoy the game but the Xbox was and the 360 is my primary gaming platform. Had to leave out a bunch of gems... DAMN YOU TWIST!!!!!!!!!!
