Of what I have played so far

1) A tie between Skyrim and Portal 2
2) Deus Ex 3
3) Infamous 2
4) VVVVVV
5) The Sly Collection

Yes I know VVVVVV came out last year, but I just played it this year and I loved it too much to not include it on this list. That, and I don't get games as often as I used to.

1)Xenoblade Chronicles
2)Dissidia Duodecim
3)King of fighters 13
4)Disgaea 4
5)Alice Madness returns

That was easy just put 5 of the 6 games I have played this year in there (the other one was Persona 4 which would be number 2 on the list but I dont think it counts oh and I havent had much chance to play 3 and 4 on the list yet so they are just from 1st impressions and calling on past experience of prievious iterations.

I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to play video games this year, and I haven't had a chance to play some of the years major titles (ex: Portal 2, Saints Row: The Third, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, etc), so my top 5 might be a little flimsy to some; try not to hold it against me.

5. Meh. L.A. Noire I guess. The actual gameplay bores may bore me to death, but the intricately crafted 1950s setting kept me immersed.

4. I was pleasantly suprised at how much I enjoyed Yakuza 4. It also boasts a well-made environment, while still being ridiculously fun to play.

3. Definitley Pokemon Black & White. If I had to insert quarters into my DS to play this game, I would be broke within two hours.

2. Though unforgiving at times (all times) Dark Souls was the most innovative and unique game I experienced this year. It's a must-play!

1. It's a tie between Batman: Arkham City and the full version of Minecraft. Both are great fun to play, in their own special way.

1. Saints Row: The Third - Damn that game is fun, just, FUN!
2. Portal 2 - Because I like to think with portals.
3. Gears of War 3 - OTT voices and chainsaws. Mmmmmmmm...
4. Dawn of War 2: Retribution - FOR THE EMPRAH!
5. Dead Island - My psychiatrist didn't believe me when I said I don't enjoy hacking zombies apart with a machete... a lot...

Yeah, my top 5, in order of preference.

I've still haven't started AC Revelations, but my list as of now:
1. Skyward Sword
2. Portal 2
3. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
4. Batman: Arkham City
5. Dragon Age 2

Though there are more games I enjoyed a ton (Okamiden, Skyrim, Alice: Madness Returns, LA Noire, Uncharted 3, Catherine) . This year isn't quite as good as last year, but it's been pretty fantastic. And if I could count it as a game, the New Vegas DLC would make my top 5.

1: Skyrim
2: Portal 2
3: MineCraft

I have bought hundreds of games this year, but those are the only ones that actually came out this year that stand out.

I think I'll do this a little more Yahtzee-like. Here's my game of the year awards.

Biggest Waste of Company Resources: Portal 2
An unnecessary sequel, especially when Half-Life 2 Episode 3 has officially taken longer than most full-length sequels to release.

Surpsigingly Good Sequel to a Bad Trilogy: Resistance 3
Classic shooter fun that made me forgive the seeries.

Unsurpsigingly Bad Sequel to a Bad Trilogy: Gears of War 3
You jocks picked football, you stick with fucking football.

Sequel That Gave us Too Much: Batman: Arkham City
There's no way you can make the inevitable Part 3 top it.

Worst Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Sequel: Battlefield 3
I was hoping this game would throw a neck-cracking twist into the works, like aliens invading earth. Something to make it not Call of Duty.

Best Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Sequel: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
That's all it really has going for it. That, and it keeps those Counter-Strike players from getting behind the wheel of a car.

Most Thankful SquareEnix Didn't Eff Up: Deus Ex: Human Revolution
You can thank Canada for that. You're welcome.

Most Talked About Game I Don't Care About: Minecraft
I own a big pile of Lego, and ten years from now, there will still be Lego.

Most Recent Legend of Zelda Rehash: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
I gave Windwaker the benefit of the doubt and no, you're not fooling me again.

Biggest Disappointment: Saints Row the Third
Apparently Volition thought we liked Saints Row 2 because we want to be douchebaggy rap-divas like Fifty Cent.

Most Recent Proof Japan Just Doesn't Get It: Dark Souls
Because ruining JRPG's doesn't give you permission to try again with WRPG's.

Game of the Year Because The Elder Scrolls Fortold Your Arguement is Invalid: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Fus. Ro. Motherfucking. Dah.

Worst Game of the Year: Catherine.
Further proof Japan just doesn't get it, only now it's a story about young troubled relationships written by middle-aged perverts who's sum total experience with the opposite sex involves fondling a woman on a subway train on the way to their love-pillow support group.
