"You're such a creeper" A short rant on the current slang

Alright, I don't know if this is an international, national, or just a local word (I don't even know how it started) but the slang word "creeper" is the epitome of my pet peeves.

According to the Urban Dictionary:
Creeper
A person who does weird things, like stares at you while you sleep, or looks at you for hours through a window. usually a close friend or relative. you know right away if that person is a creeper or does creeper things. it is not hard to spot the creeper.

jeff was the "creeper" in the background

Not only is this NOT most common place use for the word, the author couldn't even capitolize "Jeff" (another pet peeve... I'TS A PROPER NOUN! GOD! Err... Sorry about that).

Anyway, this word is predominantley used by women (girls) and usually reffering to a man (boy) subject.
Most of the time, as you can imagine, it is indeed used as an insult.

Alright, now let me get to the points that actually annoy me enough to make a rant thread.
Now when you are calling someone a creeper, you are implying that the subject stalks/follows/worships you, etc.

Not only is this rediculously paranoid, but EXTREMELY egotistic.
It's not bad enough that people engage in these stupid fear mongering activities (really really really is bad for the less than prime boy's mojo) but how fucking egotistical can you be to think that someone would spend their time following you around.

God. Damn. It.

I know most of you have either left in search of something more interesting to read or were turned off by my poor writing technique (in a hurry, sorry) but those of you who actually are still here with me, please understand why this is so obnoxious.

I really would like to say more, to make this thread at least a little bit more satisfing, but I honestly can't.

EDIT: I used to be a really comidic guy, but not it is extremely hard to make any sort of joke without people looking at you weird because of this crazy paranoia trip I mentioned earlier.

I think you're saying (though it's hard to tell) that you don't like the verb 'creep' being turned into a proper noun?

A bit like during the Olympics commentators did the reverse and used 'medal' as a verb,
e.g.'Great Britain are hoping to medal in the triathlon...'

...And isn't a creeper, just a creep?

Hm, you have a point.

Then again, look at Radiohead's Creep. Some people actually do act like that.

The word "creeper" is usually used by friends to describe each other... I've never her someone call someone they don't like a creeper. It's a joke thing.

And either way, calm down. It's a word. If you don't like it, don't use it.

... freakin' creeper...
(sorry, had to XD)

I get what you mean. Modern slang is irritating. As a kid, I had to try and keep up with it, or I'd get picked on. Nowadays, I get to complain all I want about what the young people do and say.
This time is a good time.

The only people I know who use the word creeper are girls, and most of the ones I know are idiots with a new notable exceptions. I have never been called a creeper because if I follow someone, they don't notice.

I usually never bother to learn slang. When I do I usually add "as the youth of today say" to it, so as to make it clear that I have no idea what I'm saying.

I've never used the word creeper to mean a stalker, the way we use it in my city is just as a creepy person, usually on you don't like. I guess it depends on where you hear it.

I complain about it now, as seen above. Slang has always mystified and infuriated me.
Stop raping the language to death please.
I'm just as old as you, according to your profile. Just thought you should know.

It's not that it is offensive (although I can see how you inferred that) but just annoying self-glamorification.

EDIT: Why do y'all always think that I'm from the UK? (from other threads I write aswell)

I hear creeper a lot and I go to an all-guy school. So I don't get the whole "used by females to describe males" thing.

It's just usedwhen someone does something creepy or salker-like.

ie:

"Hey Campbell, I got all these pictures of Julia that I copied off her Facebook."
"Wow, Monahan, you're such a creeper."

Ah, current slang. I have SO much to say about this.
It's stupid. Here in England we have some of the stupidest slang. And apparently Jamaicans have really weird slang. I was told by a kid today that if I touched anything in his pencil case he would (and I quote) 'lick my head'. I was reeling over laughing for hours on end.
In another class my teacher and this kid who is normally a troublemaker were arguing in the way which just confuses me. (IE: Joke or real argument?) Anyway, the teacher threatened him (Usually does this, mostly jokingly though) and the kid replied with "Bruv you're stiff". Seriously. Stiff. Not only do I not want to know how this kid knows he's stiff, or why he's even looking there, he's using it as an insult. And then he told the teacher to 'do him', which just creeped me out even more.
Current slang is stupid.
