So you know, I'm not a console fanboy, and I will still complain about the unreasonable power requirements of games like Crysis until those requirements go away, even if I like the games I complain about. Why? Because I can count the number of games with minimum/recommended specs on the box that have actually been reasonable in the last few years, on one hand, and not use all of it.Pugnate said:Also this you need teh $5000 PC crap is getting really annoying. Most people who say that are either console fanboys, or console fanboys.
With a $200 8800GT you can play the game on high settings, that will make any other game pale in comparison.
To drive this home, you've essentially said that "you need only spend $200 rather than $5000 dollars to play this game." Oh great, that $5050 game actually only costs $250 - when you include buying the game. How exactly is that any better? Yes you can say that the expenditure will benefit you in all games you play, but if only one game actually needs it to be payable then you are only really paying for that one game. A reasonable analogy would be buying a modern console to play only one game - just silly.
I apologise if this feels like a personal attack, because it isn't trying to be, your veiwpoint is pretty common, but that doesn't make it any less ridiculous in my eyes. Crysis isn't selling well for a reason (~87,000 copies in the US in the first month), and this is the most obvious one.
