I actually liked the combat quite a bit, combos were nice to pull off and looked awesome and it really isn't too hard to pull off a counter to attacks. Don't know why Yahtzee was complaining about Elika that much though, you need to be around the same distance as for your sword, really its just a sword attack with a funky animationxchaveyx said:

I really like the fact they are trying somthing new not keeping a series alive for the sake of it and hoping to squeeze a bit more cash out of it.
Good work, its frustrating seeing people's comments about the way in which you approach game reviews as ofcourse everything is subjective, the content is purely to express ones opinion in the form on a critique and your job as a critic is to find all the bad parts instead of focussing on the good. Good parts speak for themselves. Just watch and enjoy, stop analysing.

I really hated the first one. The combat was just such a ridiculous chore, the rest of it wasn't interesting enough to keep my interest.
Ah, there we. Matter of time before you reviewed this one. Either way I have yet to try out this new installment, with the previous only being Sands of Time... so of course I'm not that into the series off the bat.

I think they are firmly infected with the Assassins Creed poison in the sense that they get 1 good level down and think that repeating it 8-10 times will mean that every time past No.1 will be just as entertaining and its NOT.
Its such a pity really I really enjoyed the SoT games and while I don't hold them as highly as Yahtzee I played and finished them all and was thoroughly entertained. This instalment however i havent finised or even played with any great pull to do so. im about 3/4s of the way through and its just not as good as the others.
My biggest complaint is that the story seems......optional, in a way, Elika dosn't really tell you unless you press L2 and ask her. The sparseness of the enemies is simply the straw that broke the Camel's back.

That was a pretty good review. Seems like he's saying "Rent It".
IMO its a game you should definitely rent, the combat is a bit... simplistic.... and easy.... but the rest of the game is still pretty good. And the acrobatics keep you on your toes most of the game. You never know when a ring is gonna pop up out of no where.
Honestly, I hope some of you guys don't take Yahtzee's reviews too seriously. He's kinda supposed to point out every flaw in the game to try and make the review as funny as possible. XD

Well, it's good to see the oft-unused kitty-kat sprite. In addition, I could tell they would cock things up with this one. Good to know I wasn't totally wrong. Good review, though not as insane as some of his previous titles. Still, it made me chuckle.
