To summarize, the singer in Dragonforce has left the band due to musical differences. While many may not care, I thought that there are those who actually give a shit. One of them being me. I bloody like that band. The discussion: How do you feel about his departure?

I will miss him, his singing completed the music that Dragonforce made. His voice is terrific and I loved the way he combined it with the power metal sound that the rest of the band went with.

Also, no flaming please, I get enough of that in the comment section at Ultimate-Guitar.

Im curious as to what they will sound like with a new singer.

Could be a different style i.e Growling or something.

I doubt it. Their music has always been lighthearted and uplifting, growling is usually dark or dramatic. But still, interesting idea.

I thought this had something to do with Zero Punctuation, I need to come out of this cave some time.

Although it'll be interesting to see them with a new singer.

I never was a fan of DragonForce. They really don't do it for me.

My roommate, however, is a big fan. I'm guessing this won't be good news to him.

Aw... For some reason their songs always puts me in a good mood. That sucks. Hopefully whoever they get to replace him will be as good, if not better.

The drummer of my favorite band, Bal Sagoth left Bal Sagoth because he had to Tour so much as Dragonforce's drummer. So üaybacks a *****, huh?
Jk, I like Dragonfore, but the band is defined by their insanly skilled guitar players, not their singer. Maybe they will get the singer from Gamma ray as a replacement, hes rather skilled.

I listened to them some time ago (I stopped because their songs were getting a bit repetitive and I started listening to Progressive music even more), so I do care about this a bit. Probably better this way, though. If he didn't like singing to that sort of music, it's probably just good this way, maybe he starts singing in a some other kind of band.

Edit: I still listen to them a bit, but not that much anymore.

ZP Theart leaves Dragonforce. Millions of people still don't care.

On a more serious note, they will have a hard time replacing him. I don't care for their music at all but his vocals DID tie everything together. He was on the same level of cheese as the guitarists and that gave them their sound, no matter what people think of them.

ZP Theart is South African, and it's all part of our plan to rule the galaxy.

OT: Though I'm not really a fan of them as such (I think Hermon Lee needs to dial down the arrogance a bit), i do think he's a bloody good singer. I'm actually interested to see what he'll do next.

Woah didnt expect that. Ive met him and hes a great guy, hopefully he will join another good Power/Fantasy Metal band with a feel like Firewind or Hammerfall as that would suit his voice perfectly. Pretty unfortunate though it'll be good to see who they get next unless the band breaks up

I know, right? Everytime I hear The Last Journey Home or Operation Ground And Pound, I immediately feel like I can achieve anything. Their music is nothing short of epic.

As I am a Dragonforce fan;

Oh, WHAT!?
I'm wondering where they're going to go from here... I wasn't expecting this news at all, either.

Well, in any case; "Bon Voyage, and best of luck in your future endeavours" to ZP and all the others still in Dragonforce.

Aww, that sucks. I loved his voice. I wish him the best of luck in whatever they decide to do in the future though.
