Double toasted review is solid but if you haven't watched it I might skip it they spoil a couple big reveals that were pretty awesome in theaters.
I watched their review after seeing the movie. I posted it during my review in the Last Film Thread. I kept myself complete in the dark for New Empire. No trailers, aside from the first two, no TV spots, no news, nada. The movie is a 10/10, S fucking-Rank movie! Korey likes the movie, Martin gave it a rental, and I am not shocked by either. Martin can be wishy-washy with his reviews and nitpick over the dumbest things at times.

No, he wasn’t. After seeing all of Curb it’s clear Larry David was IMO responsible for most of Seinfeld’s success.
Jerry gets credit for being in the game long enough and has gained enough fame for it that he garners "respect" laughs if not "that was genuinely funny" ones. I've never found him to be an exceptional comedian (except his joke about the silver medal at the Olympics; it's fucking brilliant,) but all I've see is a few stand-ups; never seen an episode of his show, and I think I made it through the first 3-4 episodes of Curb 15 years ago before deciding it wasn't for me.

I've thought about trying Curb again more recently though. My sense of humor has evolved over the years; I've come to appreciate subtlety and nuance, and dry humor has grown on me as I've gotten more cynical.
