Watched some spooky netflix movies this weekend
Snyder's 11 vs the Parkour Fu Zombies ------- 127 Hours / 10
So I'm kind of dumb, right? I don't really ask any questions, it doesn't matter if it's a big Hollywood movie or some no budget crap. I watch the movie and then I move on with my life. With Army of the Dead, however, I kept asking "what....?" "why....?" "how does that many any sense....?" and if I'm asking these questions, there's something wrong with your movie. The intro was kind of fun, and the part where the Vasquez cosplayer is fighting the sleeper zombies, I liked that too... everything else was varying degrees of meh. And then my kids grew up and went to college and the movie is still going.
Host ------- It's a webcam horror movie / 10
Because I'm kind of dumb, this is the third Skype horror movie I've seen. Filmed during lockdown, the movie stars a bunch of nobodies and their webcams, so I was expecting complete garbage, but you know what? I thought this one was pretty good. They managed to mix trash like Unfriended and Paranormal Activity and make the... uh... best webcam horror movie? Anyway, a group of friends decide to perform a seance during aSkype Zoom call, then spooky things start to happen when an ancient evil spirit named Jum Pscare joins the conversation. Unlike Army of the Dead, Host is only 55 minutes.
