Apparently Alan Wake and Quantum Break Exist in the same universe as Control.
Yeah but the two announced game are directly dealing with the agency/concept in control rather than just sorta in the same universe with a few reference here and there.

Couple of things.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution is an unflashy but very complete version of the card game.

I've also once again gone back to Skyrim, this time for a two-handed heavy armour build with smithing.

Because of the mid-year sale, I bought a ton of games off of steam. Choosing between playing Far Cry Primal or Grand Chase lmao.

I finally did my arcade Mania run of Adam Hunter for the first time last night. Now there's only Cherry and Axel left.

I'm currently replaying Farcry Primal, so I would recommend that. If you like the Farcry franchise, it's a solid entry. Honestly, upon going through my Farcry library in a marathon for the past few months, I honestly think I like it the most of all of them. As I've stated further up in this thread, it's the most tonally consistent game, with the mechanics. It makes SENSE for a 10,000BCE caveman, to be running around, skinning animals, turning their pelts into clothing and equipment for my survival. Which makes NO fucking sense in a modern setting, with modern textile fabrics, assault rifles, and all the rest of modernity.

Also the goals are way more enjoyable, compared to the "everything you choose will end in shit" options you normally get from the standard FC titles.

I might love Farcry Blood Dragon more than Primal, just for it's entirely tongue in cheek tone, and 80s retro/synth aesthetic. But I'll make that call once I get to that game. So far, Primal is my personal fav of the franchise.

Pro tip for Primal if you do pick that one, when it's nighttime, do NOT run around without a torch going, if you can help it. You WILL be killed by the multitude of predators out there, with no warning. It's genuinely a dangerous time, especially as an early character, to go running around at night. It's great the way they implement it with the mechanics, but damn if it isn't brutal.

I killed Harvey (#4) and Speed Buster (#3). Now to make way to Bad Girl after depositing $LB 500,000. The grind will take me about 35 minutes. And then I have to get the final beam katana and its infinite battery upgrade too. No More Heroes is a grind fest. Thankfully, there are certain assassin gigs you can over and over again that give high money rewards.

Finished a second game of Hollow Knight. Beat The Radiance in one try. Don't have the patience for the pantheons though. I think I did 2 out of 3 (or 4?) and just wasn't having any fun with it.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Because of the steam sale I'm currently playing.

Vafairis. Its a pretty cool side scrolling run and gun. Pretty nice heavy metal pixel art and sound track with nice solid gameplay.

Void Bastards. One of the rare roguelike fps games that is also really good and so far has maintained a nice challenge. Plus its got some pretty great humor, which is hard to do in games.

Cuphead. You should all know this one at this point. Its a side scolling run and gun that is more of a boss rush type game with some really cool 1930s type animation/sound/music. Really good so far but kinda hard.

Panzer Dragoon remake. I never really got into the original game, feels much better with a mouse, plus its aesthetics are just charming as hell.

Battlefleet Gothic 2. I really didn't expect to get into this one as much as I have. I've got over 20 hours in so far and still only on the Imperial campaign.

Zero Ranger. This is an insanely good top down shooter with a charming low color look and meta plot. Also got a really good sound track.

lastly, also playing Warframe again since a new big patch game out. Lots of new stuff to get and new robot dogs, neat.

Since I pulled a lot of good characters off of the latest Genshin Impact banner, including Kazuha, I've been spending a lot of time getting them up to speed with the rest of my party. Right now the focus is on getting Kazuha, Rosaria, Bennett and Beidou up to Ascension 4 with the guys I've had long-term. Other than that, still occasionally scratching at Tales of Berseria and playing SNES games on my Switch.

Might start A Hat in Time if I feel like it, since I picked up the base game forever ago and the new DLC during the Steam sale.

Finished STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. Damn those last few sections were a challenge to get through, but there was something about the way the nuclear reactor area was designed that really stuck with me. It had a haunting vibe to it, and established a very nice atmosphere for the final section. Good game, will probably play through the prequels/sequels some point in the future.

It took three sessions, but finally beat Owl (Father) last night, or technically early morning. I could’ve sworn that Sinister Burden was activated during this fight, because he felt significantly tougher than his Shinobi version at Ashina. Next up will be finishing up Fountainhead bosses. Also killed what I hope is the last shaman mini boss, and found the far pot…person. The carp sounds intriguing, and I think I’ve heard the bull grumbling earlier. Still looking for a way to get to it, and also finding the shortcut around the upper entrance. Might as well start by taking out whatever fool thinks tossing lightning bolts at swimmers is funny.

Owl is one of the hardest boss, he's one of the two game super tough optional boss that you're supposed to do at the very end.

Guessing the other is Isshin, the Glock Sword Saint? I’ve also heard the Demon of Hatred is tough (and optional), but I plan on tackling it after beating the main story boss.

Demon of hatred is the other optional super boss, although he's very different than owl and I see him more as a gimmick boss. Imo he's the worse boss in the game since he doesn't really fit in the world and feel more like a dark soul boss than sekiro but your millage may vary.

Got these in my Steam library. Really should give them a shot. I'll have to look into what games came out first.

Glad you're loving it too! I've actually been playing it on and off and enjoy the rather simpler aspect of it. Taming a sabertooth is so freaking cool. It has more of an open-world kind of theme compared to all the other FC titles too which makes sidequests and main quests more enjoyable. I tend to do side quests first before the main ones so I can grind for the hut and weapon upgrades.

I've been binge playing the game for 2 games now and I'm freaking stuck because of Batari. I hate this boss to my core. I probably should have gotten my fire armor upgraded lmao because she two-shots me. Anyway, I 100% recommend this game too. Absolute blast, puzzles are a little bit in-between challenging and way too easy. The gameplay is really solid.

On a completely unrelated note, have you tried playing Horizon? It looks like a sick game that's sort of like Far Cry Primal but set on a futuristic timeline. Kinda digging the graphics, just haven't had any friends play it yet.

Yeah the setting and tone of Primal definitely resonates better with me personally. I can't recall what the difficulty of the game is on normal mode, I'm trying it on "Survival" mode currently on this replay. I suspect it will be very difficult by the end when I'm fighting the bosses. But yeah, I would suggest to max out your health and defensive stats, as I do seem to recall the big compounds for the Izila and Udam as being tough.

As to the question about Horizon: Zero Dawn, yes I've played that one, and enjoyed it a lot. It's KIND OF like Primal, in some of the broader overtones, but it plays VERY differently, you have WAY more capability and functionality with Aloy than Takkar. It's still challenging as hell to fight giant robot dinosaurs, but still, you have a MUCH wider array of tools and weapons to take them down. I would definitely recommend that one to just about anyone. It's a super fun game.

Sweet! Got it on a 50% steal on steam, definitely pumped to play it now after that solid review.

For the far cry one, yep Batari is the lead of the Izila tribe. I finally finished it a while ago thank God. I've tamed every beast already just need to increase my stats and skills. Excited to try Horizon out after I finish Tomb Raider and Primal!
