So, I'm in lockdown, I'm bored, and I stumble on this test.

It promises to be a more accurate test than the political compass test. Which, given the lack of astrology questions, I'm inclined to agree with.

Anyway, took part, got the following results (rounded up/down):

65% Equality, 35% Markets (Economic Axis: Social)

28% Nation, 72% World (Diplomatic Axis: Peaceful)

69% Liberty, 31% Authority (Civil Axis: Liberal)

26% Tradition, 74% Progress (Societal Axis: Progressive)

Closest Match: Social Democracy

Overall, I'd say that describes me well enough.

Anyway, take part if you want.

Apparently this makes me a Libertarian Socialist, even though I'm lower on Liberty value than Hawki.

Oh well, I was entertained for 5 minutes.

Edit: I think it's suggested libertarian because my stance on the state very much reflects the current state of the state, which is a bit of a state.

82.7% equality
65% world
61.7% liberty
81% progress

-> Democratic socialism

Seems like while e all get pretty similar results, we are all sorted differently as Social democracy, Democratic socialism and Libertarian socialism.

Pretty much as expected.

I always get centrist. Though I gotta say Finland's politics during the pandemic have had an effect and thus my opinions have slipped a bit further from what our government stands for.

These questions annoy me.

"Doing X is better than doing Y" - Very yes, Yes, Maybe, No, Very no.

But do negative answers to that proposition simply constitute denial, or do they qualify as implicit assertion that the opposite is true and Y is superior to X?

(I spend a considerable amound of my time assessing questions to make sure the meaning is fully understandable and without ambiguity)

That test declared me to be a libertarian socialist, which is some massively, major league garbage. "Libertarian"/liberal I get. Socialist, way off.

I'm not super big on politics, so I had to answer some of these to the best of my understanding of what they meant. Thus, these results might not be 100% accurate to what I truly believe in, but... this is what I got out of it

Let's be clear here; "Libertarian socialism" is the stuff of traditional anarchism. Anarcho-communism, Mikhail Bakunin, fundamental opposition to the existence of the state and ownership of property, etc.

I've been on these forums with the people doing this test for years, I've got a pretty good idea of their political values, and it's an absolutely crazy and bullshit description of just about everyone who has got it from doing this test (including me). I'm not even a socialist!

It is broken. Hopelessly, stupidly broken.

I didn't expect it to be right overall or anything, these types of personality test-esque things never are. I sent it to one of my friends since he's more politically minded, and I know he's more on the anarchist side of things, yet he got the same overall category result
