The character designs look like a decent adaptation of FiM's designs into CGI. Other than that... well, FiM's popularity was most probably a fluke and I doubt that lightning is gonna strike twice. Not to diss Friendship is Magic here, I was part of the fanbase for a while, but at the end of the day it was just your typical slightly above average cartoon. Not bad or anything, as far as these things go, but nothing to really set it apart from similar fare either. I think it finding that cult audience was more of a Zeitgeist thing, rooted in that transitional era of the internet where there was still enough of a sense of community that having dorky interests and being very open about them was not yet considered "cringe". But that age is over and My Little Pony's fanbase got really fucking cringe. And on top of that, real talk, way too much of the Brony community devolved into some weird sex thing to the point where even as a quirky, awkward teenager back in the early 10s, I started to feel alienated. It's probably not fair, but ask someone semi literate in internet culture what a Brony is and... well, chances are, they're gonna be thinking of people who get horny for unicorns.
