I think I've found the worst movie ever.

I've heard this sentiment enough times now for it to be notable. What is it with people who like bad movies? I mean, it's good for an incidental laugh, but my free time is precious; if a film insists on actively wasting it, well, I can't really say I can appreciate it. You're going to watch this because it's bad? Like S&M, if you enjoy it, by definition, it's not really pain, is it? If you get off on "pain," then go into the kitchen, find a chef's knife and cut your bollocks off for the biggest orgasm of your life, right?
Unintentional comedy.

Can understand why others enjoy bad movies, when they're with mates and ppl are playing off each other having fun. But I don't get anything from watching bad film, neither does any of my friends. And watching any on my own is just pure crushing depression, so no chance there. Same with games, music and books...doesn't appeal to me whatsoever if they're shit. I require the escapism like a lonely doggins requires a big hug. I do envy those that can extract more joy out of life, but drug abuse does pick up some of the slack somewhat, so there's that silver lining!

Tho I do harbour a certain distrust of those who watch bad movies alone, similar to the distrust towards those who watch the same comedy show for like the 50th time and still laugh at the jokes. Nothing personal, it's just the personality.

^This.

^Not this. Knowing the punchlines doesn't make the jokes any less funny if they're well executed. I've watched every episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia multiple times because they are so good. Now, I may not laugh out loud, but the execution is often just so good, it's still entertaining.

Love the show too, but all humour only works for me properly the first time no matter what it is. Though seeing other people laugh from stuff is still pleasing enough to watch good comedies again with others. ☺

Introducing someone to a show you love is always a bonus and adds a lot to the experience of re-watching, but for me, re-watching by myself, it's like comfort food. I know the funny bits that are coming and I know which are my favorites, i.e.: Dee running headfirst into a car in attempted-stolen heels or Mac's breakdown of how "science is a liar sometimes" in his attempt to refute evolution never fail to elicit a grin from me. I often play it when nothing else is on and I just want "empty calories" to pass the time. Like looking through a photo album and recalling amusing memories. They just started shooting season 15, and I cannot wait for some new IASIP.
