When they say wrap up the story, they might mean that this is teh last game you play as Kratos and next will be as Atreus (hopefully adult). Since he's Loki, could be some sort of more stealth focus game.

They specifically mentioned capping off the Norse storyline with this game, which is fine if it’s going to contain their entire vision for it and they’ve had enough time to get it right. No point in dragging it out into a trilogy for the sake of itself. Modern game development is on a much larger scale than the classic games, so it probably best for both the dev’s well being as well as gamers getting more killer and less filler.

I have a suspicion they won’t kill off Kratos either. If there’s any truth to the mythology jumping (which is heavily indicative via Tyr’s history and presence now) it would provide a good way to segue into the next, and they know players will want to see him wind up in Egypt vs jumping ship and playing as Loki. The god killing train will keep choo-chooing with Kratos as conductor so long as the interest is there.

Atreus is now that age where he starts to get really funny feeling when he's around horses.
Only out of a sense of obligatory duty to the gods though

Or for a slightly different interpretation -

“Dad can I take the horse out for a spin tonight?”

“*sigh*…Can the horse take you out for a spin, boi?”

Loki fixes problem he himself created. Or alternatively, Loki creates problem so he could have an excuse to get a horse to ride him and not feel like a wierdo about it.

I'm still waiting for Marvel to drop that particular bit of Trivia into one of the upcoming shows or movies.

"Remember how Odin got his horse, Loki?"
"Everyone remembers. You don't have to keep bringing it up"

Seems like Thor really was a fat alcoholic like Mimir said.

I think I was subconsciously remembering that from seeing that a long time ago.

Though there are plenty of bits in the bible they could mine for this scenario. Much of the old testament, the entire Book of Revelation, some of the non-canonical books. What happened to the Nephilim? What happened to the tower of babel after it was abandoned? what actually happened to Sodom and Gomorrah? There's an apparently canonical mention of God fighting a leviathan in there.....

I have a feeling that will go very deliberately unmentioned. Though it would be hilarious.

More details -

One of the comments clarified the one with Freja striking the shield -

Sunstreaker2k5
Freja doesn't actually cut through his shield, in fact if you watch what she does is MORE impressive. She's so fast the strikes before the shield can fully iris out into a solid shape and gets her blade between the sections of it before it locks closed. When he pushes her away you can watch it finish closing in a split second.
