You clearly have some anger problems, so I'll Ieave you alone let you deal with them. Good night.
No I've just got fed up of your repertoire considering you've cycled through it enough times and I'm not bothering to even give you platitudes or much if any benefit of the doubt anymore and as such I'm giving you replies that are fully appropriate and what you deserve.

Thing is can you blame gamers for doubting in the face of the press somewhat gaslighting them?
Yes. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Except in this case, it's "fool me twice"...before breakfast. Every day. For nearly twenty years, since it's been that long since the Driver 3 controversy.

Anybody who doesn't know the score by now, simply isn't paying attention. And yes, I absolutely can and will hold that against them.

"No Blizzard aren't cynically revealing x character to be a minority to cover up for things you're just being biggoted toxic gamers" was the general line thrown round and supported by some with certain political persuasions. The same people now pretending Gamers never acted or raised concerns before.

The pattern recognition has been there for a while but every time some-one brings it up it's "Oh no it couldn't possibly be this time it's Toxic gamers"
Yes...and fuck those people. They're not the standard-bearers, however much they'd like to gatekeep the hobby and industry. Especially since they turn out, more often than not, to be the useful idiots and apologists for the predatory shitshow the industry really is.

Cinephile wise I meant it as in people who love cinema not people who follow the industry gossip and rumours more as such, just people who really love films and watching them and the mechanics of making them more than the human drama and human angle to them if that makes sense.
What folks ought to learn, especially with regards to Hollywood, is there's a fairly wide gap between industry news, and PR trash. The expectation being, the lowest-common denominator gets distracted by the PR trash. Whomever Ben Affleck is fucking this week ain't news, it's a sideshow.

Yes which specific sexist IN GAME things are being objected to again.

Because in the company is different to in the game and the argument is being made that relates to the games now.....
You saw those armor sets, right?
You read into a lot of people's words when you perceive a slight, you know that? Besides, erp is explicitly against the rules everybody agrees to. Letting people run an online brothel in game runs the risk of getting governments mad at you if anything untoward happens. Yoshi P gave a diplomatic answer and that was that. No crusade, no constant vilification, none of the slippery slope nonsense you keep telling me is right around the corner

And besides, the bunny girls weren't out yet

True to an extent but then people can't learn if records don't exist to easily review. Those aren't allowed on Wikipedia unless from a reputable source which is the gaming press normally and only them.

Dude was trying to cause a bit of drama and embarrass the guy on stage and throughout the piece talks about how weirded out he is. It's kinda quite clear he just doesn't get the community. He chose the digital brothel stuff because of what can be read as seeing that as the most salacious thing that would cause the most drama because sex stuff. It's either the author having a dislike for it or being very puerile towards it.

Yes, so that's it is it in game?
Literally don't know what you're trying to ask. If you're asking if that's the single solitary sexist thing that exists/existed in WoW specifically or blizzard games in general, then no. I'm also not going to litigate every niggling detail about blizzard games in general, and certainly not with you specifically.

"Embarrass the guy on stage by asking a question about things that happen in the game at a press question and answer session about the game at the game convention"
Sure.
And you're right. It's clearly an "outsiders view of fandom" type article. Which is fine, get those all the time. Generally presents everybody as, well, fans. Very interesting that an outsider pegged the housing problem right off though. That shows how big the problem is. He read the kotaku article about the brothels, was primed by being in Vegas, home of the widely distributed free porn cards, and asked about it, getting a "it's against the ToS, please follow applicable laws" answer.

And that was the end of it. "Dumb outsider asking inappropriate question" is basically a given for that kind of article. No crusade, no condemnation, no calls for ban waves; just a thing, and FF14 has sprinted on for 3 more sexy, sexy years and counting. Probably gonna reup my sub when Endwalker comes out. Used the stress test to creat a really good looking bunnyboi

(EDIT: I feel like I might be overplaying how sexy FF14 is. I mean, it certainly can be, but it doesn't have to be. It's gorgeous in general and has many styles of clothing, from sexy to cool, to powerful, etc, etc, etc. It just tends to apply those very evenly across body types and genders. Almost none of that "plate email for the guys, metal bikinis for the girls" horseshit. Hell, they've even got races where the ladies are bigger than the guys, though it's only the bunny folks for now)

Well I dunno I'm expecting some kind of thing that you know is actually some kind of big red flag clearly over the line that and so far it seems to be tiny niggles people have with the game that are apparently now being seen as absolutely proof of a massive serious issue with the devs and the best example anyone has is they made some of the women's armour sets for some of the races different between men and women..........In a game where Transmog exists so you can in theory keep the look you want regardless of gear.......

The absolute proof of a massive serious issue with the devs is the multiple state lawsuits and the best examples anyone has made has been entered into court record.
And yet that's what he chose to ask.......
And literally nothing came of it besides a reminder to mind national, state, local, and game laws and rules.
For some reason you want to burn this guy for asking a question about a weird thing he heard

Yes but people were on about how it was clear FROM THE GAMES. too not from the lawsuits. Which is why I was asking for the evidence of clear issues IN THE GAMES that should have indicated this toxic work environment.

And for some reason you want to burn Blizzard merely for outfits in the game or is that just attempting to add fuel onto an existing for to further pretend some mythical signs were already there before this lawsuit?

I'm pissed that this situation may have killed their cinematics department.

Yes, so with hindsight of the issues with your last comment want to try it again addressing the specific issues I had with it?

Because even with 20/20 hindsight so far the only in game thing anyone can point to as any kind of issue was the fairly mind issue of some female armour being skimpier than the male variants. That's it so far lol. Not exactly a smoking gun there even with hindsight. Not least because we have no clue who designed which of the sets anyway.

There's whole bunches of stuff, my dude. Jokes, character models, story bits, characterization, costumes, etc, etc, etc, etc. it's been talked about since at least Warcraft 3. I started playing WoW back in the original Burning Crusades days and The Discourse was already going fast and furious.

But that's reams of superfan forum arguments that are at least 14 years old. I don't even remember all of it, and I'm certainly not gonna relitigate the entirety of WoW drama to somebody who's got goalposts loaded to an ATV. I did that a decade and a half ago and spoiler alert: you don't have any new arguments

Then actually detail some of them. There were people upset over Fat Princess on the PS3 it doesn't mean their upset had any real basis other than them being extremely sensitive and applying highly subjective accusations against the game

No my goalposts are the same kind you like to you I'm just not letting you go "Look there I scored a goal" when the ball has barely moved from the centre of the pitch.

Yes. By a vocal superminority of players who were quickly and generally mercilessly shut down, until the next available moment for them to pipe back up. While the rest of the community was busy griping about flavors of the month and the game's neverending supply of balance issues, server instability, dogshit itemization, bad boss encounters, tacit promotion of actually toxic community behavior like gearscores, and a dozen other problems with the game that actually impacted its substance opposed to its aesthetics.

Because that's precisely what that crap was about: aesthetics, not substance. Same as it's always been. Which is why and how those who were griping then, and continued griping, and still griped even after Blizzard started making obvious token aesthetic changes in transparently obvious ploys to distract from deep and endemic issues with the company and the products they squeezed into the toilet bowl, ignored canary after canary in the coal mine while attacking those calling foul on the plays for years.

Sorry, that game's up. What's come out now, is exactly what those "celebrating" Blizzard's brazen virtue signaling were defending by proxy. Because that's exactly the game Blizzard was playing as a corporation, and useful idiots gonna useful idiot.

But lest I fail to make myself clear, there are two sides in this "controversy": people who knew who and what Blizzard had been for years, and useful idiots. The people you're stanning for, are the useful idiots. There's not one fucking pixel of underboob, cleavage, or navel, nor any cheeky name, nor off-color pun in its dialog, in any game Blizzard published in its entire existence as a corporation, that can be censored to sweep what's "now" (only to those who obsessed over aesthetics and virtue signaling for years while ignoring substance) known under the rug.
